    Damn! I wanted to be the first to "out" J.D. the V.J

    Yes, he was a fairly decent rock journalist in the late 80s, but how that makes him the best that both CBS (he was actually White House correspondent!) and CNN could come up with is mind-boggling.

    More proof that to be a TV "journalist", one need only have a full head of hair, a deep voice, and a sycophantic demeanor.

    I doubt the ability to read is even required anymore- the producer can feed them their lines through an earpiece.

    Glenn, you are truly the best thing about Salon, and journalism as a whole. The truth you have the intellectual vigor and courage to bring us is depressing, though, isn't it?

    And I was having such a nice Valentine's day...
