Except
that Al Qaeda doesn't want our troops out of Iraq.
They, like you, thrive on conflict.

Paul
Thanks for laying your ignorance bare.

Arise, you prisoners of starvation! Arise, you wretched of the earth! For justice thunders condemnation: A better world's in birth!
This is after all a truly liberal action. It's a direct redistribution of wealth.
It's a tax rebate. People are getting their own money back.
I love when people on the right try to define leftist positions using some caricature they invented.

Many American troops want out of Iraq
Since you want American troops out of Iraq and so does Al-Queda, it's 'not much of a stretch' to refer to you as a terrorist.
-- Proximity Warning
Ergo, American troops are Terrorists and Terrorist Sympathizers!
Thank you!
I'll be here all week.
Try the veal!

What is truth in your ignorance, Proximity Warning?
Thanks for laying your ignorance bare.
The Iraqi people want us out of Iraq. The American people want us out of Iraq.
There simply aren't enough troops either deployed or readily available to properly secure the country and its borders.
There is no strategic rationale to continue this occupation.
Doesn't that tell you something?

Hmm....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Qaeda_in_Iraq
Beginning with its official statement declaring allegiance to the Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist network in October 2004, the group identifies itself as Tanzim Qaidat Al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn (QJBR) ("Organization of Jihad's Base in the Country
Al Qaeda in Iraq didn't exist until 19 months AFTER the invasion. It would appear that the presence of US troops has been helpful for the terrorist networks expansion from their bases in Pakistan.
To conflate the Iraq war with anything related to Al Qaeda or 9-11 requires a degree of ignorance that most people have since found their way past.
But the people who are aware of it, are still relying on inattention and deception to further the interest of those who think that a permanent military occupation in the middle east is just and necessary.

Al Qaeda is everywhere!
In the Philippines:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080214/ap_on_re_as/philippines_assassination_plot
Our troops are terrorists and traitors!
The poll is the first of U.S. troops currently serving in Iraq, according to John Zogby, the pollster. Conducted by Zogby International and LeMoyne College, it asked 944 service members, "How long should U.S. troops stay in Iraq?"
Only 23 percent backed Mr. Bush's position that they should stay as long as necessary. In contrast, 72 percent said that U.S. troops should be pulled out within one year. Of those, 29 percent said they should withdraw "immediately."
That's one more bit of evidence that our grim stay-the-course policy in Iraq has failed. Even the American troops on the ground don't buy into it — and having administration officials pontificate from the safety of Washington about the need for ordinary soldiers to stay the course further erodes military morale.
While the White House emphasizes the threat from non-Iraqi terrorists, only 26 percent of the U.S. troops say that the insurgency would end if those foreign fighters could be kept out. A plurality believes that the insurgency is made up overwhelmingly of discontented Iraqi Sunnis.
So what would it take to win in Iraq? Maybe that was the single most depressing finding in this poll.
By a two-to-one ratio, the troops said that "to control the insurgency we need to double the level of ground troops and bombing missions." And since there is zero chance of that happening, a majority of troops seemed to be saying that they believe this war to be unwinnable.

pig-ignorant
"To conflate the Iraq war with anything related to Al Qaeda or 9-11 requires a degree of ignorance that most people have since found their way past."
Again, you are imagining things I didn't write.
I said Al Qaeda wanted us out of Iraq. That's all I said. They do, and when we leave, they will cast it as a victory for them and the Islamic ascendancy in much the same way it was when the Soviets withdrew from Afghanistan.
It is you who are ignorant - pig-ignorant- of the basics of this situation.
-
Prove it.
I said Al Qaeda wanted us out of Iraq.
Yeah, but you called our troops terrorists and traitors.
-
So in other words
Anyplace we deploy our military HAS to become a permanent outpost or our enemies will call us names.
I know that many people will eventually outgrow the fear of being called a "chicken" but allowing that to be the driving force behind a foreign policy is certainly an invitaion for disaster.
-
Prophylactic Weenie is right.
I said Al Qaeda wanted us out of Iraq. That's all I said. They do, and when we leave, they will cast it as a victory for them and the Islamic ascendancy in much the same way it was when the Soviets withdrew from Afghanistan.
Our unwillingness to stay the course and failure to defeat the communists in Vietnam emboldened them and soon they followed us here. Now we have warmongering socialists like Bush and Shooter redistributing wealth! Next thing you know, a black Islamofascist commie like Obama will be president and all will be lost!
Vote for Ron Paul or we are all doomed!

bla bla bla

You are obfuscating because you said some palpably incorrect.
Contrary to what you believe, Al Qaeda wants us out of Iraq and will celebrate our departure as a victory for them and for Islam. Whether that should have any effect on our course of action is another matter entirely and one I have not commented on, but to not understand that this is the case is the mark of a complete ignoramus.

Shooter is the new kind of conservative!

The banks want a bailout!
Worried Bankers Seek to Shift Risk to Uncle Sam

CathyG says: The obscenely over-paid leeches running our financial systems are simply unbelievable. They have spent years lobbying successfully for less regulation and government oversight in the name of free markets. They lobbied successfully for draconian changes in bankruptcy laws in the name of personal responsibility. And when their own greed, miserable business judgement and incompetence leads to failure, what is their proposed remedy? To fasten their oily lips on the government teat for a bail-out that will be paid for by the same (mainly) middle class taxpayers they have already bled white through their "exotic" financial instruments. Shooting is too good for the whole miserable lot of them.
I told you they were socialists!
Vote for Ron Paul!
