Illegality's Defender
Titus Livius noted, "No crime can ever be defended on rational grounds". Rather than defend the administration's criminal conduct, it is far easier to persecute whomever unmasked the deception.
Michael Mukasey gave every indication of being untrustworthy at his confirmation hearings, but there was only token opposition to his appointment. The Department of Justice has become an Orwellian insider's joke for both sides of the aisle.
