  • 'bop, I've arrived at the ineluctable conclusion

That every single Right-winger, EVERY one, is seriously pathological.

So don't "blame" GG, they all need to be shrink-wrapped.

Much as it pains me to admit it, I understand why Glenn insists on allowing certain entities to spew their inane bile. Painful as it is, sometimes, what better way to disparage the likes of proximate wanker and Sharter28% than to let them impugn themselves on a daily basis?

    Amen. ouch. Alleluia.

    Soon Glenn will lend,

    his moth bit mink coat.

    It's a heyday for investing,

    in draped coffin industries.

    Ya's gotta agree. Wee nice?

  • This makes me happy

Yeah, I know, many of you may not care. Just scroll on past.

    Obama breaks fundraising record

A couple of sources, including the Drudge Report and the Washington Post, are saying that Barack Obama's campaign will report a January fundraising total of $32 million, a new record. This total includes contributions from 170,000 new donors.

The Trail, a Post blog, says Obama campaign manager David Plouffe claims that the campaign's single biggest fundraising day came the day after Obama's surprise loss to Sen. Hillary Clinton in the New Hampshire primary.

Plouffe also told the Trail that the money will allow the campaign "to advertise in just about every Feb. 5 state at pretty high levels."

  • Funny...

"Speaking of pointless bitchery... as if you actually cared about the quality of Glenn's humor, don't even front, kid."

The problem is Glenn's humour quality is generally very poor, as are most of the sophomoric devices he peppers his diatribes with (his use of capital letters for example - is there anyone over 10 who's impressed?). They are the mark of a weak prose stylist trying to be better than he is.

Greenwald is a lawyer, and his better writing basically reads legalistically - humourless, literal, bereft of imaginition, and to the point. But it's embarrasing when he trys to put lipstick on the pig.

    Living In A Material World.

    Living In A Material World.

    Living In A Material World.

  • RW hypocrisy, thy name is shooter

Remember our little buddy's tirade against the irresponsible couple who wouldn't use birth control or invest their subsistence wages in life insurance? Remember his list of all the "benefits" society is providing to the widow and four young children?

That same responsible party puts in much time hijacking threads around here but has not invested in a premium membership to help pay the bills for the servers that broadcast his ravings.

We are providing a bit of wingnut welfare right here on a daily basis. Keep dipping at our trough, little buddy. You make our points for us on a daily basis.

    Heh. Keep it up.

  • Thanks for reminding me!

"the unholy alliance of leftists, Islamists and multiculturalist racial pressure groups."

I almost forgot we had a meeting tonight!

  • While originating well before American mythology, I think the "heroic victim" is part of basic "Western Civ" god-on-our-side predestination every-man-a-king voodoo ...

if you know what I mean ...

There aren't a lot of mythic choices: Be average, be a drone, be a nobody, be part of that silent majority .... or ... BE A HERO, MAKE A DIFFERENCE, MAKE VOICE HEARD ...(none ofthis stresses bipartisan or cooperative efforts, I would note. The heart-of-gold squadren leader is still generally an exceptional individual.)

Yes, it is whiny and wimpy ... like most playground bullies...

But I think the origins arose, with all that amateur science, primitive eugenics and the rest in the mid to later 1800s ... man or mouse? To be a hero you must stick you neck out.

Most of the time you do not receive a hero's welcome or the "appreciation" you deserve ... ergo, you become a heroic victim. Not unlike Popeye defending Olive Oyl ...

It's easy to blame "The Greatest Generation" ... but this dates back probably 100 years before (and can be found in irrc many "classics")

  • Enemies?

To paraphrase a famous quote from Pogo, "I have seen the enemy and he is bUSh! Bush and his minions have lied to all of us 935 times, by count, and HARRY REID is not to be trusted?? HE'S on a par with Putin and Bin Laden?? I would bet that Bush has provably, factully lied more often than Putin and I would guess that he's running pretty close to Bin Laden, if not in lies, at least in arrogance and braggadocio! Just where is this parallel universe where these supposedly educated pundits abide? What really shocks me is that their statements have no basis in reality and yet they speak and write as if their experience is "the way it is." How can any rational, logial, sensient human being be in such denial about the last seven years of history? "The war in Afghanistan is going great!" "The surge is working!" "The economy is strong." "The rich need more and permanent tax cuts!" "Programs for the middleclass and poor need to be cut!" "Social Security is going broke!" "We need to be fiscally responsible (but it's just peachy to spend two TRILLION dollars in Iraq!" "Tax cuts always pay for themselves!" "We have the stongest military in world!" "We're withdrawing troops from Iraq (except we're not)!" "Republicans are the party of fiscal responsibility!" "Republicans support the troops!" Republicans support veterans!" "Republican "programs" (i.e., taxcuts) are good for the 'little guy; blue collar workers; the middleclass!" "Republicans are the party of 'family values!'" And the most ridiculous of all ... "Republicans always tell the truth!" FEEL FREE TO ADD TO THE ABOVE LIST!

  • Proximate Wanker

I defy you to provide one example, even one, of (intentional) "conservative" humor.

One that's even remotely humorous, I should say.

  • bamage.

Who don't have a headache? Can I borrow a blue water bottle?

The GOPS are hunkered down. Weep. I see the monstrous shame.

    Imbecility!

The GOPS are ill war criminals.

    Imbecility!

    O, Insanity!

    O, the bloody punditry.

    Dishonour them everyday.

    It's unbearable to be hush.

Hay. What sad jokes. GOP's go.

    Hubris. Disgust. Wankers. Vile.

  • Simple Solutions Only, Please

The Right loves simple solutions to any problem. That is why right wing talk shows are so popular with the Confederate Flag crowd.

Listening to these idiots, painful as it is, is necessary to understand the mental process that is clanking along in many conservatives' heads.

Once an enemy is manaufactured, simple solutions follow.

  • How simple minds think

    "Proximate Wanker

I defy you to provide one example, even one, of (intentional) "conservative" humor.

One that's even remotely humorous, I should say."

What's that got to do with anything? I'm being critical of Glenn's humourless writing style, not the left in general.

There are plenty of funny lefties. Glenn's not one of them.
