McCain...
is too old to win... prop the old guy up for one last run around.
Democrats are going to win because the economy is going to TANK. Bushonomics will be blamed. All the money they threw at Iraq bankrupted the economy...
The MSM can softball all they like... It's the economy...

I've converted a conservative or two
Although Bush being Bush did most of the work for me. I can't take much credit for that.
As far as correcting the behavior of misbehaving children, all I can say is that it worked on me. ;)
I suppose there is no harm in trying (other than opportunity cost) and I don't mind seeing this sort of stuff at the end of threads but it's annoying to see it on page 2 all the way to page 20.
I also think that when someone is clearly just trying to push buttons ("lol lefties are teh sux!") it's time to move on. At this point PW is posting the logical equivalent of "you smell." Not sure there is much to work with there.

By the way LWM that website is hilarious
Talk about in-group lingo and bad arguments. Reminds of the old Simpson's episode where a Rush-type guy on the radio says:
"How about those Dumbocrats and their smellfare reform?"
It's on that level, only I guess it's serious.
Ok, now that I read to the end I take it back, sociopathy is not hilarious. Maybe this is the "radical right"?
Perforated ulcers? MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! To those not familiar with that particular ailment, we’re happy to say that it is one of the most demonically painful ways to go. Basically, your stomach starts to leak and all of those yummy, acidic juices flow out and eat you up alive from the inside. Damn, I’m getting the warm and fuzzies something fierce here, just thinking about the excruciating agony that communist traitor pig went through before Lucifer claimed his rotten soul.

@Margalis
When you summarized PW's "position" earlier, you did not seem to understand why he believes he did not lose the argument, and could never lose it. His fundamental belief is that there is no standard for journalists other than making money. One branch of the modern extreme right applies this standard to nearly everything else as well. I find this frightening, and I think it is necessary to understand why people feel this way.

@ Margalis
Misha is a hoot. We've given up on him. From what I hear he's a very nice guy in person. He and I have had some civil moments on line. I haven't met him but the guy who is his web tech has and confirms this. He's just little deranged. He's from Denmark, originally. I call him the Danish Pastry. He's very tart.

Good Morn Kitt. The @ 9:33 is slowly downloading. Bath time.
sorry Beth.
no wrath, and it's a new day. The sun shines somewhere.
John Ketwig wrote one of the first 'Nam books a publisher would dare consider. It's titled, 'A Hard Rain Fell'...
John Ketwig felt too defiled (dirty) from experiencing the war he was opposed to.
War is porn. Dead bodies displayed in humble, and awkward positions. Exploited humans. A body is sad when the flesh is torn, subjected to trauma, and all bloody.
It took him one year for Ketwig to reunite...I agree.
He wrote, post-war, love letters home to his wife.
Those letters were re-translated into a book with that same title. I should look up the Ketwigs?

~ To Salon or Glenn?
8-years ago, I worked on a sorta oral history 'tape' with a now, determined 'liberal' politician, open mentality, in West Virginian. His name is James Surcamp.
I listened to the DVD last week because of some renewed talk about the oral-message, musical accompaniment, Asian bell chimes, and chants etc.,:~
There are endorsements from Harvard professor, Charles Figley etc., (PTSD), and Oliver Stone gave 'us' permission to use 'Platoon's movie depictions of: war-sounds, actual combat choppers doing med-emergency bloody "dust-offs", and voice sound recording of Kennedy's speech etc.,: Medic! Doc! Hurry!
Medic!
"It's not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country." Kennedy's voice on tape/DVD.
There are backdrops of era popular songs etc.,
The new-interest was not initiated by me....
The talk about the DVD is in the context of assistance to Iraq/Afghanistan 'wounded' ...returning veterans.
...It's just a thought? The download via computer may take thirty or more years to complete? I'm only wondering?
Is there a reg-turtle-mail address to send 'it' with a few penny stamps attached?
It's a 'Don't mean Nothin''...(code name) 'A Virgil's Life'...
James Surcamp and I have spoke of this without ego...
obstructions, as far as one can know, and or, guess.
~Happy Sunday. Sunshine. I'm invited to a child's piano recital. Yippee.

What's to object? First of all, this article is confusing because if the "United States will join the Jewish state in a nuclear strike against Iran" that's not unilateral. That's bilateral. Secondly, Bibi and the Likud are the minority opposition party. The majority party is the more centrist Kadima party. What Bibi claims Bush told him is irrelevant. Olmert is the man in charge. At least until civil war breaks out or there is a coup d'etat. Likud isn't likely to regain control in the next election, unless something happens to change the political landscape. This sounds like internal Israeli politics. It may not even be true that Bush said that.
