Illustrative New Hampshire snippets

The decisions of New Hampshire voters are not yet known. One can't say the same for the journalists covering the election.

    Bbbbutttt...

The right-wing/media partnership is currently engaged in its catty sadism rituals over Hillary's possible demise. That's the two-headed beast that was single-handedly responsible for milking the sex scandals into Bill Clinton's impeachment against the wishes of most of the country -- and it was the same beast that enabled so many of the abuses of the last seven years -- and they're now finally able to celebrate gleefully what they think is their long-elusive victory over the Clintons.

I haven't voted yet. Neither have most people. The two-headed beast should be offered a choice: keep the Edison/Mitofsky/NEP exit polls or keep your FCC licenses. Then they should be told that knocking people out of the race on their pages or shows, before the public has expressed its opinion, in their debates, or in their actions and reports, will result in prosecution for election fraud. Then they should reinstate the five year license renewal process that requires these jerks to solicit letters from their audience to prove they've served the public good. And they should require that on and before election day in any primary or general election, that each network begin and end all election coverage with the amount of money they have earned in the election cycle to date from taking in money to run political ads. All salaries of political commentators should be run with their bylines, and all affiliations, parties, champagne brunches, rides on busses and airplanes, invitations to weddings, birthday parties, cocktail parties or debutantes balls should be published by anyone wishing to participate in election coverage. All pictures of commentators crying, screaming, or acting un-commentatorential should be posted on YouTube on or before the date of their first broadcast or column, and any dating or other liaisons, together with any and all embarrassing pictures should likewise be published on YouTube. Any stock, shareholder relationships, board seats, vacation houses paid for by dubious means, should be relinquished. The price of all commentator and talking head haircuts should be published, the brand of their shampoos should be published as well. And just for good measure, for 24 hours before the beginning of the campaign season, the video of Baba Wawa sprawling on Adnan Kashogi's fur waterbed shall be played on continuous loop with an appropriate caption below it about the the standards of journalists who require that candidates act "presidential".

If that doesn't stop them from covering everything except the news and then throwing the primaries and elections at the drop of a hat, nothing will.
