Are you really posting comments about Candy Crowleys' weight.

    Grow up please.

Are you even old enough to be blogging?

someone using the nom de plum of "Anonymous" and mounting personal attacks on Candy Crowley showss gross immaturity levels as well as any sense of ebing a decent nonjudgmental human being.

    Sad really.

  • @repearwo

So the press is not giving Hillary enough credit? I think they are giving her too much.

Yet another example of someone preaching to Glenn Greenwald based on something that Glenn Greenwald didn't write about.

  • Some NOT worthless chatter:

Think it was Andrew Sullivan @ the atlantic that I've just read

that Padilla has filed a lawsuit against Yoo over his wrongful imprisonment and denial of habeus corpus.

May it be the first of many.

Matthews is somewhat of an enigma to me. I don't think he's a 1-dimensional right wing hack, as some (not you) might suggest. He was very pro-Obama, very pro-Democratic last night.

He's awkward. And he wouldn't lay-off the "big defeat" story regarding Clinton, even when corrected. (2/3 of Democratic voters rejected Obama, too.) I thought his doting on Obama's Americana/Melting Pot appeal was, albeit a little embarrassing, genuine.

I think Matthews likes to think of himself as non-partisan, and in a way he is, but I don't mean it as a compliment. He used to be considered a Democrat, and I guess to the insiders he's still something of a "liberal," but he's really just concerned about being one of the cool kids that gets to hang around with the even cooler kids (HS for jocks). What else could explain all of his so very public man-crushes? They really are pretty disgusting when you think about it.

Occasionally, what's left of his liberal dna will kick in and he'll make a valid complaint about, say, the treatment of Katrina victims, but I really hate the way he covers the candidates. It really is just like high school, or worse, maybe even middle school. He wields his power so cavalierly. And giggles. [shudders...]

  • @Bethincary

Cool. So we're in agreement that Candy Crowley is really, really fat. I couldn't agree with you more.

Man, that is one fat, fat bitch.

I know I should be above this, but ever since she tried to explain the media's coverage of Gore in 2000 by saying it was more fun to ridicule him, I've been unable to stop wishing her a painful, gory, hideous death.

I'm a journalist, and I hate the media. I only wish the people at the top of the food chain worked as hard, as honestly and intelligently as I must if I want to keep my job.

  • Did I Mention That Candy Crowley Is Really, Really Fat?

Oh yeah, man. She is a tremendous fatty.

  • @Kitt

Don't think that I ever said that Glenn did say or not say that. The prime article was about Hillary Clinton getting the cold shoulder on the press bus. (mean kids)

I stand by my statement, I did not attribute it to anyone specific, and I do not ever presume to preach to Glenn. Good way to get cut off at the knees - i have seen him do it.

Did you not get the "You are of course the exception as a rule." The blogoshere is full of people just the type mentioned - not by Glenn, but quoted in his post - who think that they are so much not like the MSM. They are. In fact they are often worse.

So far my assumption is that Glenn is not. Glenn is as a rule reasoned and documented. I Love his intellect. I hope that will not change.

Sorry, but no where in my comment do I preach to anyone. By the way were you aware that there still is a "War" going on? I just state something I have observed. I do not know the ins and outs of this site or what the little gold star by your name means. I hope it is not an editorial assessment of your comment. But we all have out rights to express ourselves, right?

PS when I preach I usually take up offering, too. Might as well kill two birds with one stone.

  • Candy Crowley: Attractive? In A Sense, Yes.

Candy Crowley flew from NY to IA for the primaries -- I'm guessing on a jumbo jet like a Boeing 747 Large Cargo Freighter or possibly one of those Lockheed C-5 Galaxy Air Force cargo planes. And the funny thing is, the tide went out on the East coast and came way in on the west.

Another interesting piece of side trivia: as soon as Candy's intention to fly to Iowa was made public, the price of pork futures soared in anticipation of a huge increase on the demand side. The price dropped precipitously upon her arrival, however, with what appeared to most Iowa hog farmers to be a large influx of new supply. But prices stabilized once they relaized it was just Candy Crowley rolling out of her cargo plane.

  • Of Course, That Would Be Attractive In A Gravitational Sense

Gravity is a weak force but with enough mass the attraction can be quite powerful.

  • Gore was sabotaged

During the 2000 campaign I was astonished by the fawning tone of the press corps towards "good time George," and the malicious snarky tone they exhibited towards Al Gore.

Now they're doing the same thing to Edwards, driveling on and on about how "angry" and "divisive" he is, how he wants to start a class war (never mind how class war has already long been declared on the middle class by the moneyed elite).

I agree with post #1: if only the late great Hunter S. Thompson were around to rip these pampered press weenies a new one...

  • This is like the "liberal media"

The perception of a massively pro-Clinton bias of the media, and a prejudice against Obama, is inexplicable to me. It's like the Fox News people who, thinking of the press in the '60s or something, see nothing but "liberal bias." Methinks both camps see what they want to see. The press as a whole have been savagely dismissive of Hillary, and in fact they've been the secret ingredient, allowing Obama to float like a butterfly while the press is stinging like bees. We had the relentless Russert being about as "journalistic" with Hillary as a seal hunter with a baby seal. Trick question after trick question, until she buckled. And Obama went in for the kill, even though his position on the question is very much like Spitzer's. But he's gotten a free ride.

Matthews on MSNBC has been having a festival of smarm, dissing Hillary -- not on policy, that's fair game -- but on her "authenticity" and her femininity. The guy's a psycho, and he represents a lot of millionaire idiots. It's not a right-wing press, though it definitely tilts right, but it's sure as hell not left either. Tell you what, lovers of the empty speaker, if the past front-runner falls, they're coming after you. It's like sharks. That's just what they do.

Remember, it was only a little while ago that MoDo was calling Obama "Obambi."

And tell me, what great thing have i got to hope for? And no, electing a black president isn't good enough. If it was Thomas Sowell, or Clarence Thomas, it would be a disaster. So where is your man at?
