9-11 truthers go grind your axes somewhere else
Just because "9/11" is in the title of the post doesn't mean we should veer the discussion here into WTC7 and the "missing plane" at the Pentagon or the melting temperature of iron girder supports.
Sheesh. Isn't destroying evidence of torture and obstructing a milquetoast bi-partisan investigation enough government criminality to discuss for one day?

Of course conspiracy theories
do not add up. THEY NEVER ADD UP.
Because it would take someone with the power to rival the organizations being examined to bring everyone to the stand to question them openly.
This can NEVER happen in the US because there is no equivalent vetting force to challenge what the government feeds us from on high.
So of course, there is plenty of opportunity for those who want to cause mischief to be able to hide their misdeeds by calling those who question things loony or whack jobs.
Who will challenge their official version of 'reality'? Not the journalists, certainly.
Hence, we get ad hominem weinies like ConSlayer being able to spout off factlessly and everyone is further shunted away from the REAL truth of what is going on.
Governments wanting to cause havoc rely on this inevitable erosion of facts and muddying of the water to continue doing what they do with impunity.
Shocking that we cannot trust our own government. Isn't it?

For the last seven years, the Bush cabal has systematically dismantled the reputation of our country. In doing that, the legal system has suffered damage that will take decades to repair. Many of us who are concerned about this damage don't care who caused it.
To that dismantling, please add the Department of Justice independence and subversion of the rule of law in order to further Republican partisan interests, undermining the functions of governmental agencies and hurting Americans' health, workplace safety, workers' rights, and consumer product safety.
Don't forget gutting the air passenger safety system and the imminent catastrophic failure of the nation's air traffic controllers to be able to maintain any modicum of air and ground safety. As the controllers say, it's just a matter of when - not if - that two airplanes will occupy the same space at the same time, and a rain of body parts will wake up a somnolent nation to the gutting of the nation's aviation safety system.
In ways large and small, each and every citizen has been impacted by the Bush/Cheney/PNAC maladminsitration and subversion of the Constitution.
By any measure of quality of life: safe shelter, availability of affordable, safe and reliable transportation, access to nutritious foods, free access to potable water, free access to preventive and catastrohpinc healthcare, free access to education, and the percentage of eligible workers who are able to sustain themselves and their families in the workforce - our country fails, and fails again.
We imprison and incarcerate our vulnerable. We demonize our poor, our weak, our elderly and our dependent. We conflate ideologically-created partisan wars with military wars on aggressors. We bully. We intimidate. We rule by force.
And we do it to our citizenry as we do it to any country and entity that gets in the way of our dictators.

Essentially you've decided that destroying the reputation of the US in order to fulfill some other goal is worthwhile.
Which is exactly what PNAC, the Bush administration and the neocons have done.
Why do you complain about the one and not the other?
It's perfectly obvious whose reputation you care about and it is not that of America.

the headlines of "CIA obstructed justice in 911 Commission" are up at Huffpo, Raw Story... so it is obviously a legit STORY and not conspiracy.
Then if you start pulling that thread of why they would want to keep the Commish from finding out-you realize there is alot more THERE-THERE. It is not only stupid and wrong for this country NOT to investigate this heinous act-it's in our best hope for the future of this countrs' survival to do so. Do you really want to be at the mercy of a govt to keep coming out with orange and red "alerts" to further undermine your sense of health, wealth, and happiness? Maybe you want to live that way-I choose to fight back. One of the ways is by being skeptical of everything this govt says. It's called democracy-it's called freedom-it's called an individual pursuit of my own happiness-it's called freedom of choice NOT to trust the govt for my own safety.
WTC is a big example of "not drinking the koolaid". Read the 911 timeline at Cooperative research-there are TONS of discrepancies in govt stories there compiled by many people who want to know truth.WTC housed Rudy Guilianis "bunker" and anthrax-which he had been warning about in advance of 911-then a week later was when letters were sent to various politicos. British television shows clearly an announcer saying WTC had just collapsed-when it was clearly visible in the picture--OOOOPS!WTC also warehoused many of the docs in the then-pending case against Enron---OOOOps again.
After that there is Tora Bora and OBL getting away--hmmmm seems the military never went after him again-saying the trail went cold...Wow--they supposedly missed him within an hour---yet no trail whatsoever. What part of North,south,east,west did the military/CIA not comprehend. Sorry I don't think our military is that Elmer Fudd incompetent-THAT looked intentional.
