    Just A Matter of Time

When I was young I read The Federalist Papers and even back then I wondered why the founders' eloquence and intelligence and solid grasp of history had slowly vanished from political discourse, and indeed from the American government itself. Reason used to be employed to enlighten or to inform the public but these days it serves only to advance morally bankrupt policies. Like warrantless wiretapping. Like torturing alleged terrorists. Like politicizing the Department of Justice.

George Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, the entire Republican party and all their enablers on both sides of the aisle will eventually be seen as the traitors they are. Their corrupt policies will be reversed, and many of them will go to prison. It's just a matter of time. At least that's what I keep telling myself.
