In 1939, our military was, at best, second rate. Why did most of the nations of the world support us then, Shooter?

Do you believe most nations of the world were our allies during the "cold" war because they were afraid we would nuke them? Was it because they were afraid we would freeze them out monetarily, Shooter?

Was the United States chosen as a refuge for your poor, your tired, your huddled masses yearning to to be free because those huddled masses were in fear of being nuked?

Obviously, if Bush had been backing anti-Iranian extremists, Senator Rockefeller would know. He is Chairman of the Senate Intelligence committee. His answer is not intended to mislead. No, not at all.

He is like the prize defense witness in a murder case who can claim that he never saw any hostilities between the accused and the murder victim. He is to be believed, because he was there.

But on cross-examination, it is revealed that this is not a reliable witness at all. His testimony is worthless, because he was not truly a witness to anything.

Gee, I learn so much by reading these informative posts. I notice that shooter uses the past tense here about “our influence”. Nixon’s China initiative is now finally making sense. As our ability to recruit and sustain troop levels for military interventions/occupations diminishes and the availability of capital to fund them dwindles, where better to turn than China? They surely now have the military and the money.

Simply printing more bogus money and liberal-initiated recruiting at UMASS seminars conducted by Jonah Goldberg can accomplish only so much.
