  • American Fascist

Great article Glenn, but I think you need to start being more accurate in your description of the "right wing Bush followers". These people are not "right wing Republicans". Barry Goldwater was a right wing Republican, but he had great respect for the US Constitution and the rule of law.

The Bush loyalists are pure and simple, Ameri-Fascist.

  • Donne missed out on Nulla. Ferlinghetti too....

Nulla is an island, entire of himself,
    Kids chase him
    thru screendoor summers....

He has got a wicked patter, though.

  • The Great Nulla!

Censorship really isn't the issue. You can all defend Glenn all day long if that is your druthers.

Thanks for the your incredible insight, and for your permission too. Be hard to go on living, if not for you.

No the issue is that you prefer to never hear anything that clouds that perfect unicorn land of rock candy mountains you call a world view. New ideas in America are dead and the Internet helped kill them.--Nulla Sallus

Wow! Just think, here I have been listening to so, so many voices to bring information and varied opinion into perspective, when all along, there was only one voice I needed to hear. The voice of the all knowing, all right, all the time...prophet and hero...Nulla Salus! Praise Gawd!

  • A THOUGHT

Hitler used the Reichstag fire to justify his extreme actions. Bush (Cheney) has his World Trade Center. The Constitution goes out the window.

  • @shooter242

You're denying that Limbaugh is influential?

  • Due Process

This article without a doubt proves the Terrorists have already won the war. When a great nation founded on law and humanitarian rights can rescind those rights and flout the law than it's too late and the bad guys have won.

  • Nulla, agin

Nulla's arguments sound an awful lot like the basis for most of the right wing cable and radio dismissal of anything progressive.

    Why are you doing this?

    You shouldn't do anything.

Doing things makes you look stupid and like a girly-person and always brings up the point that whatever you're doing comes at the expense of something I assume you're not doing.

If you were an adult, manly or womanly type, you would do nothing and let Republicans do everything for you. Then you would never look stupid, which is the most important thing in the world.

Also, even though its not important and silly, I will read every word you say and examine every action you take so that I can find anything that sounds like a contradiction so that I can prove that no one should listen to what you say. Because even though everything you say is stupid, people might actually listen to it instead of doing nothing.

    And, oh yeah, conformity.

  • Hey, look!!!

The first Muslim congressman found our Constitution!

Could you please send it to the White House, Representative Ellison? Thanks!

Great post. Thanks for that. Neocons would incur serious injury if they had to think for themselves. They might pull a muscle or something!

Ellison and Olbermann are two of a very small number of people willing to speak out in a blunt and forceful manner against the administration and its policies. Guess we need more guys named Keith to step up in this country.

And GG, and Dan Froomkin. Keep up the good work, all of you.

  • Some eedjit tosses in the usual "red herring"....

The truth will set you free.

No. Read your "talking points" again. That's "Arbeit macht frei".

... As example here's something unexpected I picked up yesterday....

Damn. I thought for a second it might be Ebola virus....

    Cheers,

  • Unless the journalists are in China

Telecom amnesty and crocodile tears for Shi Tao

The dog and pony show on capitol hill taking Yahoo China to task over providing e-mail records to the Chinese government that led to journalist shi tao's arrest has made me physically sick. The same Republicans who have handed the keys to the kingdom to Bush in the name of national security are questioning Yahoo acceeding to a demand, though undemocratic, that is perfectly legal in China. if you think china is a reprehensible police state, as Tom Lantos called it, sanction it, boycott it, stop U.S. firms doing business there. But no, that won't happen.

But if the U.S. government demands telecom firms break laws to provide phone records, that's all ok, in the name of national security. if people are thrown in jail and they're never charged, the keys lost, that's ok, in the name of national security. evidence? can't tell you, national security... hey lantos, guess what china's rationale is, uh, yeah, national security.

but what makes me even sicker is that no journalist is able to connect these dots. china is such an easy punching bag. but those who question bush and his goons are labeled leftwing loonies.
