Tweet! Time out.......
First off - Egypt Steve has a valid point insofar as the Boylan thing is distracting from other important issues.
And secondly bamage was clearly engaging in snark.
Thirdly - you shouldn't compare anyone to sugarman unless your ready to rumble..... ;-)

Ignoring al Baradei's expertise, yet again
To paraphrase Hanz Blitz about the completely conjured "evidence" of Iraq's WMDs, the Bush admin couldn't both be 100% certain that Iraq had WMDs and 0% certain of where they were. (Remember Rummy's list of where these megatons of weapons were hidden? In Baghdad, in Tikrit ...)
Well now these ostriches are ignoring Mohamed al Baradei's findings that Iran has no imminently threatening nukes either. If the war weary public could go back in time to when the UN inspectors were still in Iraq, mere days from turning in their report saying there were no imminently threatening WMDs, and somehow put the brakes on President Stompy's pre-existing intention to conduct an elective War on Whatever, don't you think they would use any means necessary?
Nuke-bloodhound al Baradei has made it clear that Iran has no nukes, and bombing is not only drastic but unnecessary. Oh, and Israel shouldn't be bombing Syria. (Click my signature to get the full article, or google the cite.)
Oct. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Israel had ``no business'' bombing Syria and lacks ``any evidence at all'' that its target was a nuclear facility, the head of the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency said.
Mohamed ElBaradei, chief of the Vienna-based UN nuclear watchdog group, called the Sept. 6 raid ``very distressful'' and a violation of UN rules that require member nations to alert investigators if there is evidence of nuclear activity.
``To bomb first and then ask questions later, I think it undermines the system and it doesn't lead to any solution,'' ElBaradei said on CNN's ``Late Edition'' program.
Israeli officials have indirectly acknowledged the raid, while refusing to discuss the details. North Korea denied newspaper reports that it might be helping Syria build a nuclear plant. Satellite photographs taken of the site since the attack show it cleared of all debris.
Syrian officials told ElBaradei that the cluster of buildings targeted by the Israeli air force was a ``military facility,'' and has ``nothing to do with nuclear,'' the IAEA chief said.
Israel has provided no evidence to support a claim that the buildings hit were connected to a nuclear program. The UN has purchased its own commercial satellite images of the site and is studying them, ElBaradei said. Weird that the war pornographers' drumbeat to invade Iran is undeterred by anything so mundane as facts (or probably cause.)

We Have Only Two Choices
As a nation, it's become painfully obvious that we are faced with only two choices: rename the country Kookoostan, promote Klutzo the Clown as our Emperor For Life, and use rubber chickens as currency..... OR..... do whatever we can to stop people from broadcasting or printing these Right Wing Wackos with a dismal track record of being catastrophically WRONG, WRONG, WRONG on everything.

Public Relations
Adolph Hitler has the BEST public relations team in the world.
How about that.
Let's all visualize Adolph Hitler - everywhere!
Is it Halloween yet?
-
actually whenever George W Bush shows his putrid face on television
his face seems to metamorph itself into Adolf Hitler's hideous visage;
thus I have never hesitated in declaring George W Bush as the Hitler with a speech impediment (in addition to being the Shrub)

Minor details
Like the fact that Iran hasn't attacked another country in centuries and that the IAEA has stated that they have no evidence that the Iranians are attempting enrichment to the extent required to make a bomb. But, of course, the UN couldn't find evidence that the Iraqi's had bombs either but that hasn't deterred these people from confusing faith with reality.

I for one am hoping Iran gets and uses an atomic bomb
Just to see your faces. Half of you will be astonished and the other half will, like me, be cheering.

Iran is not 1938 Germany
As I understand things (which could be wrong -- I'm no WII expert) at the end of WWI, Germany agreed that it would not attempt to annex either Austria or the German speaking part of Chechoslovakia. In early 1938, in violation of the treaty that ended WWI, Germany annexed Austria. Germany then moved toward annexing the German speaking part of Checkoslovakia. Consequently, by the time of the Munich Agreement, Hitler's ambition to actually take over other countries in violation of the treaty that ended WWI should have been clear. Also, it could be argued, that the French and British appeased Hitler in 1938 out of an underestimation of their military strength and an overestimation of Germany's.
The first Gulf War (in 1992), addressed a situation that could legitimately be compared to 1938 Germany (although, in my view, the comparison would be deeply flawed). Iraq had instigated a long and bloody war with neighoboring Iran and when that concluded, had invaded another neighobor, Kuwait. Consequently, Iraq, at that time, had clearly shown its ambition to take over the territory of other countries. A good argument exists that military containment of Iraq at that point made a good deal of sense.
However, like Iraq in 2003, Iran in 2007 bears no relationship or resembelence to 1938 Germany. Iran has not invaded or annexed another country. It has not exhibited a desire to increase its territory beyond its current boarders. It, like many other countries adverse to the US, can be contained through diplomacy, sanctions, etc.
I note one other difference between today and 1938 -- no nuclear weapons existed in 1938. One can only speculate as to how the existence of nuclear weapons would have impacted the diplomatic efforts prior to WWII or the course of WWII itself. However, to compare a situation in the nuclear free world of 1938 to the nuclear world of today, seems foolish in the extreme.

Strange Love?
Does Podhoretz think we have to get some Hitlers of our own? Mr. President, we must not allow a Hitler gap!
-
What about all the good things Hitler did?
He was kind to animals, he was a vegetarian, he was a nationalist. All the things the socialists here, want. A few million dead untermenschen? Pfft.

Why the hell does anyone even give Podheritz a mike anymore?
He's like a dog barking at the moon-WAR,WAR,WAR.
Nothing but a cheerleader for.
"The only options....are to bomb Iran"...
we've been here before haven't we?-and it's gotten old-especially when he's been wrong time after time.
OR we could actually TALK to Iran and have a system that enables Russia to monitor thier nuclear program-which, btw they say is for energy use. Funny how Cheney and the neos fail to make that distinction.
Read yeterday india is getting nukes as well as Egypt. So why single out Iran?
OIL? Ya reckon? Just happens to stand between Iraq and the Caspian oil-rich basin.hmmmm.....
I'm still convinced this is the reason and all points point to this being the reason. Energy meetings? 80/20 oil-sharing deals between oil companies. Published articles in the Moscow Times from July of 2001 announcing an oil deal with Turkmenistan-showing 2 pipelines-one going through Iran (which btw have been scrubbed so it cannot be found.
If the reason was honestly for terrorism purposes-Sen Obama pointed out sev. mos. ago that OBL was in Pakistan. It has also come to light since the release of Valerie Plames' book that Pakistan was being tracked because of rabid renegade nuclear scientist, Dr. Khan-reportedly the Walmart for nukes in the Mideast.Yet Pakistan and Musharef, who pose the bigger threat to this country than Iran, get overlooked-becasue of the media propaganda being used for perpetual war(on Israels' behalf).
Irans' beef with us, especially after we stab them in the back when they helped in Afghanistan, is about Israels' suppression of the Palestinian people. Other countries there also, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt (most all other Arab countries)harbor these same feelings and have expressed this to the WH-who rebuffs them. So GW, rather than engage any peace process-or else nominating neocons like Bolton(a joke of a diplomat)to provide that so-called "diplomacy"-continues to stir the pot in the Mideast (an already unsteady alliance of neighbors). It also bears mentioning that Iran, also extended their cooperation back in 2003 and was rebuffed. So it's very obvious nukes are NOT the reason.People need to realize the charade being played by GW and the neos-like P./Cheney and stop even debating them on their idiotic claims. Until people start bringing up the O-word to neocons in debates-will anything be done to get to some sort of truth.
