@David Sugarman
Most everyone I know loves them.
They are a very likeable folk.

Thanks, Arne...
He gets on a roll every damn time. That was my point.
I don't like banning. But I can see why it's done. After all, it is Glenn's home, and he has a right to keep it clean, indignant yelps about "freedom of expression" and "censorship!" be damned (FWIW, DS has been booted off other blogs too, and probably quicker than here). You won't find a more tolerant and sympathetic person than Glenn to the idea of discourse and free speech ... which is why he reluctantly has had to ban certain people. But only after fair warning.
Let me put it a different way: If you have a party, and there's someone with OCD there that starts getting in every conversation and yelling at people when they tell him to pipe down, you ask him politely to behave or leave. When he doesn't behave, you ask him to leave. Not because you don't have sympathy for his disability, and not because you don't want to give him some slack, but because the party's not a therapy session for his benefit only.
In fact, I finally had to give up my screen name, because, not just here, but everywhere else, too, he was taking every opportunity to smear me. It was too much of a distraction. And frankly, some of it was pretty disgusting. I really can't believe that any of his defenders would have been so quick to excuse him if he had written the same things about their mother or sister, or, god forbid, their grandmother. All because I subtly tried to warn others on these threads about his past history on Salon, and he was the only one who noticed.
One thing I have learned from this experience is to have a greater appreciation for the ability of our regular trolls to stay on topic... relatively speaking.

and for those who think rupert_c was just being sarcastic
he *defended* my right to post - and in the Face of the Great God GG. and he and i have SCREAMING FIGHTS! what can i say? some guys are just...manly. (on the other hand, aryans like arne, who actually have some truth to say ("david sugarman's problem...is that the thread ends up being all about him" - this is true, i REALLY feel i have something to say and furthermore, i am IMPORTANT. psychotic? maybe, but in that case most of you are too) needs to MAKE THINGS UP! "(FWIW, DS has been booted off other blogs too, and probably quicker than here)" saying FWIW doesn't make it TRUE! in fact, it's NOT. just banned here.)
bamage(pg 15), that was a clever chinese proverb
"When you speak of Tsao-Tsao, Tsao-Tsao arrives.
So you can thank whoever it was this morning. The guy who didn't appreciate my NPod comment."
that was "Christopher Michael Neill" whose masterpiece of incomprehension was,
@bamage
"Another Zionist racist, I see. Ghosting for Sugarman, or are you just an asshole on your own terms?".
i hope this is still here in the morning so you can see it. "patg", you'll be happy to know that half the world's pistachos come from california. iran still makes carpets though (and oil). "prunes"! sarcasm! (pg 16) i didn't know you had it in you! (and nicely done - just the right amount of sneering [the idea is to *almost* have to put in a smiley face, but not quite]) -
Jim Montague....
Your post at 05:16 PM is a classic. In general, the comments in these threads don't get red stars, but if it were the practice, that comment should get one. It's worth a bookmark.

@Karen M
if someone's ONLY post is "Don't feed the trolls!", did you expect that to remain uncommented on? do you expect to be deferred to merely because you happen to head up your local chapter of Lesbrarians United? Way more than arne, Way more than aVulcan, your poisonous backbiting schoolmarm ways make you trollia prima. for those not in the know, Karen M was the prime mover in my silencing. yes, i Don't Like You, why should i?
