A bizarre, unsolicited e-mail from Gen. Petraeus' spokesman

An e-mail I received this morning from Col. Steven Boylan is heavy on petty insults but extremely light on the issues that actually matter.

The letters thread is now closed.

Listen to Alan Colmes instead of reading this blog!

Dear Colonel Boylan,

I applaud your efforts, sir. The media needs to print what we tell them to print or it will hurt our efforts in the war.

We cannot have our boys in Iraq reading any of these liberal, tree-hugging, fact-based blogs or pretty soon they might start to wonder. If they find out that the Iraqis didn't bomb the World Trade Center, they might wonder what they're fighting for.

If they knew what habeus corpus was (or used to be) and how our freedoms are being taken away at home, they might start thinking that this isn't about freedom. If they listened to that liberal Alan Greenspan, they might think that this war was about oil. And a gallon of gas might not be worth dying for. That would be bad for morale. Not to mention Exxon.

If George Bush says he lets the boots on the ground make the decisions and General Petraeus claims to be following orders from the commander in chief, our boys might start to wonder if anyone is actually in charge. Any wondering might keep them from being the efficient killing machine that they need to be.

If the liberals can't see this then they should come over to Iraq like you said with their own armed guards to see just how good things have become.

So sir I applaud your pie-eyed off-duty efforts to take on the liberal blogosphere. I drink to you, sir. I drink to your besotted mission to overthrow these idiots with their computers running around on the InterWeb.

Sincerely,

David Akadjian

Glenn Greenwald

Mr. Greenwald, you calling anyone petty is remarkable. Your shoddy, deeeply bias work is not even worth reading. When have you ever been fair-minded about anything? And as it turns out, you're misrepresenting what Col. Boylan actually wrote. What I have found about one-track bloggers like you is that you have tremendous difficulty dealing with issues honestly and cannot tolerate differences of opinion. You have spent an inordinate amount of time railing againt the war, an argument you are now losing. Other than anger you have little else to offer. Between you and Josh Marshall, who I have had great amusement criticizing (his overreactions are priceless), I cannot tell who is more thin-skinned. Still being a hack is not something you should aspire towards, although that's what you have allowed yourself to become.

unsolicited email=desperation

Bunker mentality has taken an iron grip of the White House.

Combine this latest 'disaster of the mouth' by Petraeus' aide, the over caculating of sniper attacks which resulted in The Pentagon's request for $1.4 billion, the reluctance of the AJ nominee to call a type of torture.........torture, and the mock FEMA press conference which didn't have the press participating, should mandate Congress to stop pussyfooting and bending over backwards for the Administration.

The Presidential candidates aren't helping either, while casualty lists increase by the day.

One important consideration that no one can have any qualms about is the Dole-Shalala proposal.

Not one of their six recommendations have gotten anything more than lip service from Bush.

The protests of the 100,000 this last weekend will do nothing

but escalate into something much more dire.

So let's get off our collective asses and scream to everyone in the legislative and executive branches, we're finished putting up with this crap.

I predict there will be a watershed moment that will make Kent State look like a picnic.

keep on working

Keep it up GG. You've obviously hit a raw nerve with Boylan and the apoplectic ihash. You must be on to something or they wouldn't be howling at the moon the way they are. If you really were a hack who peddled inaccuracies, they wouldn't give a damn what you wrote.

Tone in DC @ 10:55

As pathetic as these rt-wing, war-blood suckers...You know?

The rear REMPS- those-them dank jock-straps, them idiotic, poor punctuators, afar-nosey, noisey, bark-in' military officers, gettin' up miliary grievances email papers...Sent...@ emule.Whooo. to-yahoo-glenn-gads.

They also remind ya's somewhats of the old revolutionary movement? A sick-hater, and ill-brain militant, used grenadiers. A boy with a dangerous rattlesnake or a real gun pistol can be dangerous when he feels like lobbing his GI issued iud.

O, how much jabber, and spittle too? Gads, Sicko's in a war-haven safe" green Zone, ah huh. Take away the keyboard, GWB.

A GOP war party every day for them...?...and how much trillions and dead will it take to keep up-spiting Dick C.'s "pistil"...?...!

It's horrible, but at the same-same, wonderfully delicious reading here the commenter's private thoughts. I do chuckle with hope and inspiration. I'm reminded of the time eating Recess's pieces, blue M.-and-M. got stuck in the keyboard.

If you scream loud "Yum, Frosted Sugar Doe-nuts Melt On The Keyboard, Not in the Back Pocket Of Glenn- Great! Toner Tiger- Green, get them." huh. okay. tone down the nonsense? sorry.

It seems like damn "Left Brand Corny Flake Logger's~:~here."

Well, here we are at the Salon Tavern with Mohawk Indians planning a Tea Party? The brawnier military boys, just like then in 1773-- as the king's troops were called, were a brain dead, pot smokers, coke can gulpers, constipate'rs, lifers, and pathetic as Col. Steven Boylan-- O, they are regulars coming out of the closet, again!

On a day in 1773. Paul Revere said to the guest, "I know what you are after, and have alarmed the country all the way up."

Glenn has them gathering basset hounds? Or are they gleaning a delicious Sleepy Time herb tea blends in the green zone for Glenn? Next, a Sugar Act? A belated Boston Pink-Socks victory celebration? 'Um are insane and stir-up bush's mutt's (not cod strap) barney's DC neighborhood's scroungy dog hang-outs? GWB's military needs to muzzle the street terriers at home, not in a green-zone drunk-haven-- of Iraq. GWB's gang of thugs are Royal screw-ups. They wake the neighborhood scrounge-hounds in DC's Pentagon meeting house while Col. Boy keeps sending "unsolicited emails" such as this stupid one? Gates get one too?

O, like what bah hummingbird said yesterday: Ya's become brain rattled with reel bemusement. What can a sane blog reader think aloud?

O, Tories this unsolicited "lewder up^" letter up! Sacred?Profane? same-same.

Ya's think 'um drink a few 2 or-or-or 4 cans of coke, or more?

Ya's think 'um burps 4 Sam Adams beers up on the keyboard, heh?

O, Paul Revere may say: shouter needs to go to Orlando or get high at the Jordan River. 242+Zero=a Zone, but not registered alive on a brainwave monitor. He shames not just New Jersey, but a whole world. He wants to be dragged by Col Boylans's boys to play in the sand and be immersed in lukewarm tea. O, how goofy? Where is reverend Miss Pedinska to run the baptismal font, be dismal, and note a first time looser?

Yowza, lousy mood, mtsphdrea. huh.

I tease. Wear a ball White House Sock CAP HAT? Put the DC gang Ode odious-gab-bags on a one-track Train Ride to the Trash Dump to root for tossed away rubber duck toys? Wash out ya's mouth.

They (gops) must be on dope to write so dopey? I'm sober and plain darn stupid. What's there excuse? They seem flown as high as a chicken with a kite, like bamage on a windy day? Right sajwan?

flew a barbed wire coop.

O, penert (sp) is 'hitting' on Glenn? Reading between the lines, Maybe he says: Keep it up like Paul Revere.
