Nothing?
Ok, I go stay quiet in the corner- wondering if merit lacks or over abounds.
Bebop-o draws beautifully with words:
To judge is not good, yet,
To understand is a form of 'understanding' and a higher level care, and it is an unconditional 'agape' a sort of embrace...[?]... universal...
The lack of universal understanding leaves us all open to understand nothing and- lamentably- to act accordingly.

Just a Quick Thought...
Thrasher's obsessive attacks on Pam-- and the overall tenor of his comments-- paint a crystal-clear picture.
He hates gay people.
His hatred burns with the heat of a thousand suns.
He hates having to share oxygen with them, let alone the rights and responsibilities of FULL citizenship. He wants gay people to SHUT UP and GO AWAY. And if they won't, he'll call them racists.
Well fuck you, Thrasher. I'm calling Bullshit on you whining "The White Man is oppressing me". Your shitty attitude and interpersonal skills are keeping you down. No one else is. I'm not, and Pam sure isn't. Take your hatred of gays elsewhere and shove it up your ass.
I live here in the US. I work, I don't litter or break laws, I pay taxes-- a LOT of taxes. I live my life with my wonderful partner. And just because I live my life openly and happily as a gay man, I DON'T deserve to be denied my Constitutional rights-- least of all by the likes of a bigoted idiot like you.

Sex. Control. Power.
Yeah, but also Religion. Control. Power. That works too.
Many of the Christians I have met do not even know Jesus was a Jew, and are fairly ignorant of their religion. So maybe it should not be startling as to how easily people can be lead under the auspice of religion.
"Every formalized belief system but your own ~~~"
Might want to look up up the word tolerance and intolerance and then compare.

My Turn: I have no activist agenda, I hate no human beings, I enjoy spirited dialouge
I am troubled by the personal attacks on me simply because I have offered up some views on Pam's and Glenn's questionable scholarship and pedestrian selective gay commentaries.
I am a Black person like Pam ( BTW I could be gay) I understand her advocacy and her passion about her personhood. I have no quarrel with her passion my thrust has been about her methods and tatics. I am not retreating from my opinons on her commentaries and her inherent conflict of interests she did not disclose up front to us as readers.
I support all movements which value inclusion. My cultural DNA demands that of me. My legacy as black man on this soil demands that of me.
Pam needs to step up her game it is incumbent on me as a Black person to expect that degree of passion and excellance from her not the 2nd rate surrogate pulp fiction she has provide during Glenn's absence( BTW I wonder if Glenn has intervene on his other white guest pudits during his vacation)
RW: Your anger and contempt for alternative views is an expected and a occupational hazard for folks like me..
Sugarman: You have not changed your white jewish racist demeanor still makes you glow in the dark. I am not surprised at your anger towards folks like me . I wonder besides the white racism you carry around are there some penis envy issues at play with your anger with me?? Shalom my little angry man shalom...

Christians and judging...
Actually, Christians are supposed to judge each other, their elders, etc. See here...
http://www.bibleteacher.org/Judging.htm
Notice, the judging of non-Christians is left to God at Judgment Day.

perhaps you should get your own blog then, and let Glenn and Pam run their's the way they want
My Turn: I have no activist agenda, I hate no human beings, I enjoy spirited dialouge[sic]...

Distinctions
The link you provided isn't exactly authoritative, and clearly has the deeper purpose of refuting moral relativism on the part of society as a whole (see the last paragraphs). Besides that, the author is making a distinction about judging guilt , not sin. In this case, judgement becomes surrogate for the notion of a 'ruling of fact', not a qualitative assesment of the sin nor the sinner.

You've invented an entire straw village, sugarman
...of total paranoia, and not just a single straw man.
If you were more observant, you would have noticed the misspelling of "their's" and realized that it simply could not have been mine.
Go ahead and waste your time wondering if every anonymous post is one of mine.

Clarifications
I made the mistake of not delineating 'making judgements', as in defining Sin, as opposed to applying judgements, as in determining whether or not a Sin, as defined by God, has been committed.
The deeper theology still holds, however, that judgments of what is unholy in the eyes of the Lord- sinful- are left to God.
-
Judging...
The link was just a lazy way to get to the verses that deal with how the members of the Church should judge its own members. It was not meant to be the final say so...

Sorry, Thrasher...
I'm still calling Bullshit on your "Poor Pitiful Me" posturing. You have a chip on your shoulder big as Mt. Everest.
You hate gays. And you're not particularly fond of white people either. Especially Jews, it would seem. Just how DO you get through a typical day out in the world without having your head explode with impotent rage?
And Glenn and Pam exhibit more scholarly authority and intellectual rigor in a wet belch than you could in a million pages of typing (I won't call what you do "writing").
I'm fine with alternative viewpoints. But not when hatred underlies said viewpoints. And everything you type drips with hatred. Searing, blinding hatred. You, and those like you, are to be pitied.
