  • Policing From The Air

Nothing new here. America loves airplanes. Hell, the whole military might of America revolves around the idea of blowing the be-jesus out of folks that we disagree with from a distance. You don't want to get your hands dirty, but you need to remind folks that you can and will do bad stuff to them if they have the audacity to defy you. I remember reading about how the Japanese killed and ate air crews during the Big Double-U Two. And it really makes you respect the Vietnamese who let folks like McCain live after they had murdered millions of civilians during the Vietnam fandango -- Agent Orange? Napalm? Those 8-mile high B-52's. And then you get Blackhawk down. Yep, they did drag those poor suckers around. Abused the bodies, because those poor chappies had been in those birds that brought destruction from above, and suddenly weren't invincible anymore. I guess that is the consequences of 'policing' without boots actually on the ground.
