    the reason they're folding? blackmail.

    obviously, the telcos and NSA have dirt on these guys.

    imagine if you are a senator or congressman and you receive an anonymous phone call that is a recording of a conversation you never want anyone to hear because it will ruin your career...

    or perhaps it is an email you sent long ago...

    you know, discussing the shady land deal, talking to the hidden girlfriend, arranging for the delivery of some really good s**t...

    some of our erstwhile representatives have obviously gotten the message...
