Dianne Feinstein, symbol of the worthless Beltway Democrat

Understanding the Bush-enabling and base-hating behavior of the "liberal" California Democrat reveals much about the failures of the 2007 Congress.

Follow up

Biden is the only other one with that ability....

Will he get the Nomination...not likely,

He is to much like Bush - but, in all the good ways - by that I mean - Tough, commited BUT, nurturing an Open Minded and Intelligent and Prudent affect.

I Think Hillary Would Agree With Her

Good, and tell us about it in honest terms, without compromising our Security.

While at the same time not hiding her actions and breaking the law in Secret, as Alberto assisted Bush in or Cheney & Rumsfeld Inc.

NO problem what they do as long as they are not ATTEMPTING to form the SHADOW government as Cheney and Rumsfeld have certainly (Bushism) installed, throughout all branches of contracting and policy with the CIVIL or SENATORIAL Selection Service.

Imagine the NEocon plants put into all departments of the DODefense,

At the intelligence and war strategy levels - to influence future decision making – or report on it to Conservative think tanks, and Skull & Bones graduates.

After Their Empire expires...

Can Hillary root these out?

Yes, absolutely, she or Bill Certainly know a brilliant progressive Republican or Democrat...who can root them out by their influence, leaks, and Law-breaking.

GO FIGURE = WHAT'S NEW

SHE IS WORTHLESS AS WELL = FUNNY HOW SHE FIPPED FLOPPED OVER THIS SPYING SHIT BECAUSE I GOT A LONG ASS RESPONSE FROM HER ABOUT THIS ISSUE SHE SAID AT THE TIME SHE WAS VERY DISTURBED ABOUT...

JUST LIKE harman THE OTHER DAY COMING OUT & TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT FEAR & SMEAR TACTICS FOR THIS ADMINISTRATION TO GET MEMBERS OF CONGRESS TO CAVE-IN TO THEIR DIABOLICAL WISHES...

THE AMERICAN DREAM DIED LONG AGO & SOON AS lil' bush STOLE THE ELECTION & STEPPED INTO THE WHITHOUSE - he JUST DROVE THE DAGGER INTO THE HEART OF AMERICA FURTHER - BY DRAINING WHATEVER

BLOOD THAT WAS LEFT IN AMERICA OUT OF HER...

AS FOR feinstein -- ACCORDING TO MY BIBLICAL & MY SCRIPTURAL BELIEFS = she IS A ADULTERER & her FINAL RESTING SPOT IS THE LAKE OF FIRE...

she IS & WAS MADE AWARE OF SOME SERIOUS CRIMES THAT THE bush ADMINISTRATION COMMITTED AS EARLY AS 6/2004 & she CHOSE TO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT - WITH her SO-CALLED RIGHTEOUS ASS MENTALITY..

SINCE THEN THE LIST HAS ONLY GROWN LONGER WITH SO MANY AMERICANS WHO TALK A GOOD GAME & CLAIM TO BE A PATRIOTIC AMERICAN = TELL THAT SHIT TO SATAN BECAUSE EVERYONE WHO KNOWS & DOES NOTHING = "SHOWS THEIR TRUE COLORS" & THEY WILL ANSWER TO THIS & FOR THEIR LACK OF SEEKING JUSTICE...

MARRIAGE & DIVORCE - SCRIPTURES ARE VERY CLEAR RELATING TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES / PUNISHMENT OF THOSE WHO PARTAKE IN THIS WAY OF LIFE...

Investigate war profeteering

Senator Feinstein's war profiteering and her conflict of interest by being on the MILCON Committee should be investigated.

californian with tired fingers

I've worn out two keyboards sending almost-daily emails to my illustrious senator Feinstein. The boilerplate responses would be laughable, if they weren't so damn pathetic.

I don't know what is worse, having this greedy, self-serving political maggot in congress year after year, or the fact that she was so easily re-elected by my fellow californians.

Democrat, Republican, Dianne...makes no difference.

If the Gods had meant us to vote...

One of the most alarming (for this progressive voter) sections of Jim Hightower's book If the Gods Had Meant us to vote, They'd Have Give Us Candidates (written just before the 2000 presidential election) is the depiction of the Democratic party as corporate appeasing automaton's who were so focused on fundraising that they virtually had no convictions to speak of.

As we see the country in a very real constitutional crisis, involved in a war which is massively draining our human and material resources, with the executive branch in real need of oversight, with the continuing onslaught of civil rights including the unthinkable loss of habeus corpus we see the Democrats making small, calculating decisions that aren't addressing any of the most pressing issues of our time. In fact, they are often, actively continuing some of the most egregious abuses of civil rights and enabling further law breaking.

Hightower's book is right on target in its depiction of a Democratic party that has lost sight of representing its base and seems only to exist to fundraise. This certainly is not the case with some individuals but the majority of the Democratic party seems to fit the most dire descriptions in Hightower's book.

Al Gore's presidential campaign was ran in the same small minded calculating way. In the years since Al Gore has won respect and popularity by actively promoting the causes he seemed to have left behind during that horribly ran campaign (which in recent Democratic tradition attempted to offend no one and made no one happy at all) that allowed for such a close election (which caused the fateful Supreme Court decision) when he should have been the easy victor.

One hopes that prominent columns such as Glenn's serve as wake up call to a party that has largely left behind the very people it exists to serve and, at this point, appear to serve no one.

What America liberals don't undersand, that American conservatives do

Don't settle for second.

Seriously, how long has the Democratic party, which I normally term Democrats because they are NOT Democratic, ridden roughshod over its base while fighting everything its base believes in?

In the sixties you had Vietnam. The Democratic, liberal base opposed it. There were huge rallies against it, and the moral zeitgeist of the day... led directly to Nixon, a pro-war hawk of a crooked Republican, being the one to get America out of that fiasco.

JFK, was more conservative then Reagan, and LBJ, for all of his sterling work on equality, ultimately is remembered for keeping America in a quagmire for apparently no gain.

Then you had the Carter years. It wasn't the oil price, it wasn't the Iranian hostage crisis, it wasn't even the dissillusionment over corruption that nailed him in history, it was a Democrat congress fighting tooth and nail, against every liberal instinct Carter had.

This has carried on right up until today, when the Democratic base is calling for impeachment, for withdrawal from the Iraq war, for serious measures on reducing America's debt, and for public healthcare.

So long as the American liberal voter settles for second, votes for the party he feels is "Centrist" rather then actually being "Left" the American liberal voter is going to get no voice in American politics.

Thus, vote left, don't vote Democratic.
