Re Much Is Revealed....
Do you realize that the imams were returning from a conference in Minneapolis on how to increase Muslim political power in the States?
OMYGOD!!!!
Careful Paul. They were in Minneapolis setting up a foot tapping protocol for airport restrooms. The idea was to get Republican senators and congressmen seduced into tapping their feet in certain stalls at certain locations in the airport, setting up resonant vibrations in the soil that would propagate over to the river banks and cause the collapse of some bridges to damage our nation's infrastructure.
I have also heard that their eyes were engaged in coded saccades once every 400 milliseconds, sending messages into the Canadian health care system that resulted in lead in millions of toys shipped to American children. It was all financed by porn on the internet, via the hawala system. Many of the children were enslaved by the changes in their frontal lobes caused by the lead and are now swinging buckets around their heads to make enough radioactive material for a dirty bomb. Their cover is as welders on the Brooklyn Bridge. Fortunately, there will be a new system of military tribunals set up by the Administration to go over all this evidence, they are headquartered in Peabody, Massachusetts, formerly part of Salem.
Most of this isn't circumstantial, Glenn, it was all on a microfilm found in a pumpkin.

I would appreciate tying this sort of post into your theme of Republicans using traditional gender stereotypes against Democrats.
Everytime I drive my car to work or from work, which I do every weekday, I am taking a risk approximately 35x greater than the risk from terrorism. (assuming, even, that a 9/11 scale event occurred *every* year; approximately 108000 people die in auto accidents each year). But do I whine about it? Of course not. We take measured risks every single day, without thinking twice.
Why shouldn't the fearmongers be treated the way they would want to treat progressives? We should remind them at every opportunity that adult men aren't worried about every little thing that might hurt them. Only little children do that.
I suppose what makes the gender idenification so effective is that progressives simply can not use the language that the Right uses. I was unable to disparage little girls by comparing them to Republicans in the above example.

This weak-minded propaganda is very clever, like anti-bacterial soap. Kirchick does not set the standard, he plays off of one that is already firmly established and seems very clever. Imagine a germy fatwa stuck to your head instead of a pure Catholic League censor. How lucky we are to live in a place so civilized. Things could be so much worse.
It is a small price to pay; to keep our lives neat, clean and antiseptic, to exclude such offensive comments. If we do not, we risk exposing ourselves to the killers (the bearded ones).

And buddy, Islam doesn't need any of us to defend it. It was around before any of us were born, and will certainly be around after we're all dead. It's a fact of the world that religions exist, get used to it.
Perhaps some insight can be gained by asking which of you agree with Ward Churchill's analysis of 9/11.
By "analysis", do you mean the couple sentences that have been repeated ad nauseum? No one would even know who this guy is if you nutbars didn't keep bringing him up.
Since you DO care about this non-issue: the 9-11 victims were victims, and it's totally unclassy to call them little Eichmanns. Happy?

The parasitical ruling class needed a new "existential" threat when the commies unexpectedly collapsed in 1989, and finaly, on 9/11/01 found something they could sink their teeth into.
So now we have "Islamofascism" as an existential threat to our corporate way of life. It's clear that the freedoms the founders were after are secondary considerations, given all that has happened over the last six years.
Therefore we must jump up and down and scream on a 24/7 basis about the insidious threat posed by Keith Ellison and anyone else who dares to not embrace with the fullest possible throatedness the one true faith of Jeebus-endorsed Mammonism.
Their worthelss little toadies like shooter, Elephantman, and Golden Boy are evangelizing as much as they can how we are in such mortal danger. If Osama bin Laden didn't exist, they'd have to invent him.
Meanwhile, as wealth disparities continue to erode stability, fostering the very terrorists they say they oppose, we're all supposed to look the other way to the external threat, when the real problem is that the ruling class has itself been hijacked by short sighted greedy fools who are hoping to profit by the sale of the rope with which they will eventually be hanged.
