Confirming suspicions of many
It seemed clear that the goal of terrorist threats was to rob us of our liberties in the name of defending the homeland, so "they" wouldn't come over here. What is significant about Goldsmith's revelations is that the reasons for 9/11 take on a decidedly different tone when we hear Addington's claim that a terrorist attack would yield what they were after: total control of the laws by the executive branch--a dictatorship.
Playing on people's basest fears, with the media's and Congress' aid, they could do as they pleased and disregard any law. Appalling. That the Democrats have caved and cowtowed to this will be their eternal shame.
