  • A new low of mindlessness for our shooter

I can't wait to hear how shooter was able to determine the political affiliations of 50+ Directors of County Election Boards in Ohio, or even the political affiliations of the specific people quoted in the article as admitting that the records were destroyed. I'll even make it easy for him.

Please provide evidence that the following people are registered Democrats:

Butler County Board of Election Director Betty McGary

John Williams, Hamilton County Director of Elections

Mike Keeley, of Clermont County's Board of Elections

  • RE: MH & Petraeus' Report

    Decidedly not.

  • On to Islamabad!

Walking into a four-way conflict in a nuclear-armed Islamic state that shares a contentious border with China: Best. Idea. Ever.

This will move Our work years ahead of schedule.

  • Pakistan is "hardly" a nation.

Motive Matters -- That's why it is such an important legal principle, Shooter. We have a motive to go into the Tribal Region (hardly what one would consider a 'nation')- an incursion that would have had nearly unanimous global support immediately following 9/11.

You didn't think the possibility of another 9/11 or worse was motivation for Iraq? Of course it was, the only difference here is that your standard is a bit different than Bush's. Here's a story about motivation...

A guy sits down at a bar next to a lovely young lady, and after an introduction asks, if she would sleep with him for a million dollars. Upon consideration, she says "yes."

"How about fifty dollars?", asks the guy. The lovely young lady becomes indignant and retorts," what do you think I am, a whore?!?" To which the guy replies, "we've already established that, now we're just dickering about the price."

Declaring a section of Pakistan "hardly" part of the nation is like saying North Dakota is "hardly" part of the US. Worse, we don't really know if OBL is still alive. Even worse than that is that your lib buddies are with me on this one. Surely it's the "kiss of death". Heh.

  • Keep digging, shooter242!

Well who knew Democrats would come out on record as being in favor of illegal invasion of another country that hasn't attacked us?

In contrast to the perfectly "legal" invasion of Iraq, a country that "attacked us"?

Keep digging yourself deeper at this rate, and you'll be in China! And out of our hair!

Exactly what cesspool did you crawl out of again?

  • I'd Like To Take A Moment

To congratulate Rush Limbaugh today on the 19th anniversary of his national show. He's blowing his own horn, as usual, about it.

I went to the almanacs for the occasion---------In the 5 presidential elections since his show started the republican candidate averaged 46.6 percent of the vote.........In the 5 elections before the start of his show the republican candidate averaged 52.2 percent.

Keep on truckin' Rush. I don't think the 2008 results will help out the trend for you.

  • easy answers to easy questions

You didn't think the possibility of another 9/11 or worse was motivation for Iraq?

    No.

    next?

  • "You didn't think the possibility of another 9/11 or worse was motivation for Iraq?"

No, I didn't. You want to know why? Because IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11. It also, by the way, had nothing to do with al Qaeda. It also still served as a check on Iranian influence. It also posed no threat to the US. It also was not a breeding/training ground for international terrorism.

The motivation for invading Iraq was exactly what the neocon thinktanks said it was, long before 2001: The path of least resistanceinto the ME in an effort to destabilize the entrire region so that modern democracies could be established in the wake of the 'dominoes'. And also revenge against 'the man who tried to murder [prince W's] father'. And the Oil. And the war profiteering. And the acceleration of the Second Coming and the Apocalypse.

Just because you didn't know any of this before 9/11 doesn't mean that it wasn't known.

Oh, and by the way, we have already lost more troops in Iraq than we did civilians on 9/11. And by the way, IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11.

  • "Worse, we don't really know if OBL is still alive."

What, like we [didn't] really know if Saddam had WMD's?

  • @Anonymous @10:27

Sending FBI agents into Pakistan with search warrants and a "sternly worded statement" from the UN ought to be a hoot.

Perhaps you could threaten to tickle them, too.

We do have a system of international policing for apprehending criminals, al Qaeda is a criminal enterprise.

The sternly worded statement from the UN was against countries trying to aid Pakistan after they'd been rightfully sanctioned for doing that for which we usually sanction countries. Perhaps we could try the manly Republican solution to countries like Saudi Arabia and China -- prostrate ourselves on the floor. Or more of the manly Republican solution to Pakistan -- sell weapons to people who give weapons to terrorists. Strengthiness isn't working, I'll opt for diplomatic sanction, instead.

Real Men don't go to the UN, they snort amphetamines with male prostitutes.

A new low of mindlessness for our shooter

Tsk. I didn't say all 50 were Dems, there has to be at least one Republican just by chance. But both Vu and Mason certainly are Dems along with....

Please provide evidence that the following people are registered Democrats:
Butler County Board of Election Director Betty McGary
John Williams, Hamilton County Director of Elections
Mike Keeley, of Clermont County's Board of Elections -- Rufus X

Look bud, it took all of one minute to find out the top name was running for Dem office at one time. Do the rest yourself and let us know what the results are. When Republicans are named by party in a hit piece but others are not, it's a very safe bet the liberal media is at work.

By the way, sorry about the name in the subject line. "But I mean it in a good way." -- Dom Irrera

  • Pakistan is "hardly" a nation.

Actually, what I said was that the tribal region where al Qaeda makes its home can hardly be considered part of any sovereignty, even Pakistan. It is a region defined by its geographic circumscription- always has been.
