As Glenn (rightly) roots around the garden of the right-wing blogosphere sniffing out examples of hate speech in comments sections, his own readership speaks:
"They may or may not be the chosen people of God, but they're sure the chosen people of the fascists in America." -- "tom payne"
"Larger points" my ass, Slackie. You wrote that we Americans would not be allowed to call the wall a wall and wrote that our media "would not dare" to call it such -- playing unsubtly to the old "Jews control the press" thing that's been with us since Henry Ford or so -- and, when called on the easily documented untruth of your statements, you harumph about golems and "larger points." That's just so incredibly lame that you ought to be ashamed of yourself.
And then that BS about photographs of the wall becoming more available? What horseshit! Israel and the territories must have more news photographers per square mile than any piece of real estate other than the press center in DC.
Why not take the lump, admit you were engaged in a grotesque exaggeration, and be stand-up about it?
To what extent, good sir, is it not true that the American reich wing and the Xtian fundies shamelessly use Israel, not for its own sake, but for their political gain? Call it hate, you poor child, but it is not; it's the Gospel, New Testament style, as hijacked by the core of the republikan partei. In their hearts, those fascist weasels have no use for jews, or blacks, or women, other than as instruments of their will. Refute away, spammer.

This is a summit of disingenuousness. The truth is exactly the other way round! The annexation of the fundamentalists has been a triumph of propaganda and a tribute to well-placed funding.
When there's screwing of this magnitude going on, it's academic who's on top. With the equally morally bankrupt Israelis and the reichwing republikans, it's of no consequence which is the whore and which the john. Shalom, and hide the salami.
Somebody had to say it.
A very significant faction of the West Bank settlers movement believes that holding onto the West Bank - indeed, reannexing all of the territories Israel held in its heyday thousands of years ago - must be accomplished as a precondition to the coming of the Messiah. They also believe that when the Messiah comes, Israel will be ruled by rabbis - i.e., will become as theocratic as Islamic fundamentalists expect Muslim countries to be. There is, in fact, very little difference between the theologies of these groups - except that the Muslims think the Jews (indeed, all non-Muslims) are inferior, and these Jews (following Kabbalistic teachings) think Muslims (indeed, all non-Jews) are less than human.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Lieberman is this kind of Orthodox Jew, and I hope you or someone with the time and the contacts can find that out.
Allow me to refer you to my novel "The Tenth Cow," which is being podcast at podiobooks.com and goes into great detail about the Israel-Christian fundamentalist alliance.
