A peephole into the ladies locker room harms the ladies, even if they don't know
Imagine it was your daughter, viewed undressing, and the suspect was caught red-handed. His defense was that so long as she didn't know, and nobody harassed her or harmed her, there was no crime.
I say there was a crime. And if the government listens in to your calls secretly without warrants, it's a crime, too.

As I recall, there was a similar problem in getting an abortion rights case before the court. The problem was that by the time a pregnant woman could get through the lower courts and up to the USSCt, the pregnancy would be years past, and the issue would be moot.* Eventually the court(s) realized the injustice created by this predicament; and the result was Roe v Wade, a 1973 USSCt decision concerning a pregnancy in the late 1960's.
It is possible that a USSCt eager to try to reclaim its legitimacy in the wake of the partisan travesty that was Bush v Gore just might use similar reasoning to do substantial justice.
[* I realize "mootness" and "standing" (and "ripeness") are discrete concepts; but if I remember correctly, as products of the "case or controversy" requirement in the U.S. Constitution that Glenn discussed they are closely related and sometimes confused.]

You made be thing about a bird or sheep flock's beauty and "productivity." Here, this morn, the market truck got loaded up early. Nourishment was sent down the road in a white cube truck. The pleasure of 'honest' work is never done. As I always say to myself, "I will not turn on the Salon today because it's a read in irony, misery, and painful "drudgery." I don't really mean what I just stated "literally." Therapy.
I've just read the first chapter of 'A Tragic Legacy' and it does help us dense humans' get some clarity. If Glenn was compared to a good sheep-breeder farmer, he may be famed after this era passes, in spite of right-wing criticism, as one of the hardest workers who keep true. He won't sell-out and work for Wall-Mart. He gets in the mud in inclement weather.
The "statistical indicators" reads are almost intolerable to me. How can a statistic measure a sheep-flocks fertility? Over time sheep or people must be conceived and start to hump...Fertility.
In whose interest has this Bush's followers conducted the war? What audacious belligerence! What reckless disregard of honesty! Shabby work.
A insecure, lazy, and gluttonous people who have been caught "red-handed" in lie after lie. It is violent, fraudulent, and WHO is NOT weary of such sneering, creepy, enormous fools? What disregard for all posterity!
There is a breed of livestock that can become weak, inferior, diseased, and will poison the whole Flock. People become anemic. There are so many questions surrounding the NSA snooping, I realize, but GadZooks, "Does government have a right to snoop on the citizenry? It is so illegal.
The argument about WHO gets snooped-upon could proceed from personal testimony (facts?) and also, hopefully a mass movement of responsible Daniel Ellsberg's etc., will emerge.
I agree it must happen to ward off more government betrayals and even potential domestic (civil-peasantry) blood shed? Insiders do have a duty and responsibility to reveal the horrid facts without ugly rhetoric that breeds more national strife.
The work of blog-reading, spending long hours HERE, is a respect toward those who do-do the drudgery work on a daily basis. People must stick-at-it for the greater people's good.
To me, in the greater interest of long-lasting honest work, and good breeding, and cultivation of strong character, upright backbone...etc., OT?- Homer said good green barley cleans out an obstruction, an impaction, and gives healthy red-bone-marrow for good health and true wealth. The cartoon of Homer's son Bart always says, "I didn't do it!" Yea!
I'm mentioning the premeditated war the former loyal pundits (first chapter of GG's book), WHO are now in shame-flights, disassociation, and cowardly want to disown the cow-poke hog-rancher. It is too late. Shame. O, Apologize!
The work toward good is demanding. The work must be done in the rain and hot too, and its a walk via some slop? Bush's ERA is so a-Era, UGLY! If the sham misrule goes on much longer, the world drudgery will be terrible, miserable, and more so compounding a tragic end. Obvious.
Maybe a layer-chicken-hen will die, but, a person who lies to their Self and off-spring staggers to a burial place in disgrace? Yes.
Many of my best memories emerge from experiences with other's during hard. The conversation and participatory management goal of wanting to do good work for good-work-reward's sake, make a reward that money can't provide. The evidence is a sort of shared task of community effort, completed, Together.
The 'spats' on the scroll can be amusing. Banter can become real green cucumber and pickle relish...an succotash analogy. But to exist to contend, fight, "debate" and "win" is real lazy-bloke, long-term, drudgery, and sheer folly. What delusion to support deception. I'd rather be fed from a tipsy dumpster than to be a rich bloody troll.
I started to say: Every modern worker Peasant I know in fields that I'm a bit familiar with are green, and I am ignorant about the technical, and government cubicles...
...Peasants scream that the NSA snoop list (ETC) is openly a betrayal. A honest person will call the White House to petition and grouch about the shoddy bred sham days we witness. A more honest people deserve to convey concern and heart-felt disgust in the public market places!
In the NSA play-ground, the more mature grown-ups, as well as the insider-sneak-brats, need to grow, mature, and bloom---It is always fitting to protect each other.
Such talk in a barn, or, where government officials step in three foot of office manure at the water trough in the nsa palace...stop the promotion of the 'crap' coming from the "Bushes" sheep tails. A pigs has a cute curled 'tales' and I am restrained, tho, still speculating many-many insiders have 'stuff' to reveal. Posterity!
When we get older a person needs to begin acting grown up? A pig can breed a weakly piglet. grouchy. I'm not "yet" clear, as usual, and the rant is too lengthly. O, Blue Sky and Blueberries! No stains in the sky? Nope.
I only intended to mention: "I'm doodling and pencil marking-up a new FRESH (pregnant) hardback book. Glenn Greenwald deserve a sheepskin edition?
