Everyone we fight in Iraq is now "al-Qaida"

A change in the way the Bush administration and military commanders refer to "the enemy" in Iraq has been almost immediately adopted by the media.

The letters thread is now closed.

RealNames Around

Anybody wondering why the Israelis and Palestinians are unable to work out a solution to their problems just has to read RealName's posts to understand why. S/He has mirror images on the other side that are as insanely indifferent to human life as s/he is. They would just as soon build the same gas chambers RealName would like to see built to work out a Final Solution to The Problem of The Other.

Realname sees Palestinians as inferior beings, so we are mistaken in ascribing genuine human value to them. Their women and children may look innocent, but RealName knows better. Unfortunately there are Palestinians who feel the same way about Israelis. It's like watching two fourteen year old bullies too stupid to stop bashing each other over the head until they're both bleeding, begging the world to see how crazy the other kid is.

For real balance here we need to invite a Palestinian extremist who'll tell us what Zionists we Salonistas are for not helping them push Israel into the sea. For true balance he'll need to have Realname's solopsistic belief that everybody understands his snappy sounding non-sequiturs that evidently are supposed to profoundly supports his agenda. Naturally they'll be as meaningless as most of RealName's posts, but our own little freedom fighter will have the solopsist's faith that everybody else in the world just knows what he's thinking. He'll post head-scratchingly obtuse drivel, but he'll think he's putting us in our places. Then and at least we'll get some perspective on RealName's incessant bleatings.

Maybe then Realname will finally realize it's people like her/him that have made Americans like me at long last end our blind support of Israel in the ME conflict. I learned about the horrors of WW2 as a kid, and like most who were taught those lessons in school I used to think Israel was just entitled after the evils that had been done to the Jews. Over the years since then the ReaName attitude has shown me how wrong I was. Average Americans are geting tired of being dragged around by our hair helping one little power-mad country carry out its singularly self-centered agenda at our expense. When you see how vile and inhuman the ReaName attitude toward life is, you realize we've been played by the same horrible folks who brought us history's many other holocausts.

Nothing new here then

This is the lastest incarnation of a common process. Just read your average western history book.

Glenn's success/ Shooter's Opportunity

It's always a drag to see shooter crawl back out of the woodwork with the same absurd old talking points that have been thoroughly debunked so many times before. He's pushed hard enough several times over the last year to force people to finally dismantle his talking points one by one, completely and utterly, to make him shut up. And after it happens he always slinks away in shame for a while. But he always comes back eventually to pretend he never got punked.

Now that Glenn is here at Salon his popularity is such that shooter can have a whole new audience to foist his FOXNews propaganda on every couple days. It's annoying, but as a function of Glenn's growing readership it's a small price to pay. As the desperate 20 percenters lose more Americans every day, the shooters will get even more belligerent. It'll always be tempting to take them on again and again, but it'll be as pointless as it was the first time. They're minds are closed and their egos are completely invested in the right wing spin machine. As it collapses around them they'll deny it all the more. New readers will come along and they'll eventually get irritated enough to school shooter over and over, just like everybody else has. Oh well. It's worth it.

"al-Qaeda" and the al-Murka news print all-Lies?

The first morn bird song is beginning to sing.

Each day a chirpier bird joins the tweeter chorus. The cacophony is different and new each day. Nature is amazing at wholesome entertainment. A human never grows weary of that entertaining Nature. Thank you.

If you wake up in the night at a quarter to 2, what do ya do? Brush your teeth 3X. Scrub your feet. Pick your toes and nose.

When you toss in your sleep seeing bombs drop on top of you at ten past 3, what do you do? Plop, plop, drop dead.

If there is nothing else to do what do you do GWB?

O, dig graves all night.

At Sunday School when a conscience blares

Message at you at a minute to 12,

What time is it to you?

Are we permitted to say?

Hell to GWB's ScrewCrew.

Propaganda @ 8:37PM? You think they sit on the throne and do BM's al-Night and yell, "Bombs Away?"

I glossed over your sensitive back letters.

They would make good Newsletters of "All the News That's fit to print" A symbol of a more honest skull and cross bones in the upper left front page would sell truth...All writer-subscriber could have the same-same name card, HUMANS.

RealName knows about the Medellin Cartels. S/he can carry a card that accurately describes the character, "FryBrain." Give free medical coverage to heal snaky ScabNose. I'd give a good assignment such as take a PortPotty to Iraq. If s/he is shy around bombs and napalm fire, have him distribute free newsletters at DC's minority work sites.

Americans sit at vacation sites with DadBush visa plastic and write propaganda at LushResorts to kill.

"RagSnot" Press-Scribe's here on the payroll are wimpy stenographers. Propaganda, get the word out to those good people in America that scrub latrines, plant, harvest, and wash the dish pans the NeoCon leave alDirty.

Because of the war ferment, the military may begin bombing in 5- seconds? Warn.

I actually began thinking I'd comment about a Tuesday "New York Times." On June 19th, 2007, A M.Gordon and D. Cave article 'hit' me hard. When I read paper-print I'll scribble a note on the paper print. It doesn't work on the computer window scroll. The scroll rolls along and the article is gone.

Please Mr. Gordon help stop the bloody carnage.

*The humans 'we' allow our government to kill are just like your family." They are your neighbors.

Maybe after a sitting in a fetal ball roll up position while bombs burst in air and on the ground, I'll roll up like a dirt ball rag and commence to begin to spit shine my boots?

It is Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! When it is Monday you will be depressed if you watched the CultWar the NeoVC's make up....thanks, propaganda?

No, ForReal, I Thank You! You a human!
