Articles like this make me want to cry!

It is quite sad that for many Americans this strategy will work. Barack, for example, encourages healthy debate and thoughtful discourse on issues. His message is complex and his style is more reserved. The problem is many Americans don't want to think about the big issues, they want some one to think for them, to paint things in black and white, winners and losers, good and evil. There isn't enough time to think about the reality of the grey - there are kids to feed, jobs to work, consumer goods to buy and American Idol to watch! Fred has a shot precisely because politics are not about substance, they are about a packaged image - and his packaged image is a tough, tell it like it is, straight shooting, macho man - ugh! May god help this country if elect another republican macho man!
