If I said that Versailles was fiddling while Rome burned...would anyone at that dinner even notice the mixed metaphor?
Mr. Greenwald, you are fantastically talented and doing a world of good for the good of the world. It is true that in this day and age, if you're not outraged, you're not paying attention.
And yet, I always kinda want to saw open my jugular with a butter knife after reading your blog. It's so overwhelming, and it makes me understand why people just numb out and watch American Idol while we drift gently down to hell in our handbasket.
But thanks. I'm glad you exist.
