That's all a shame and will continue to be a shame. But this specific conversation between you and I was, in essence, about Net Nuetrality. That particular issue can go a long way to turn the tables. I say that for a number of reasons. One is that it is the most informed and most determined of us who can take advantage of this means of communication.

I'm not sanguine about the prospects.

Even my own family won't listen to me even though they know I'm far more knowledgeable about politics, history and most everything else than they are.

They simply do not wish to hear it and get angry and defensive with me whenever I try to bring up any substantive subject.

I have grandchildren and that gives me a strong incentive for trying to do what I can in order to effect what I see as an almost inexorable slide into something resembling fascism.

America is already a police state, I've made the case here several times and no one has questioned my conclusion. I've also made the case on other online fora with the same results, no one disputes my assertion when they hear my arguments.

Has anybody asked how Mr. Rove is allowed to maintain his security clearance when the use of a "non-secure" system for White House business is an obvious security violation and provided potential terrorist access at the heart of our government?

Security threats aside, can we avoid the obvious fact that he was willing, even while under investigation, to circumvent the Presidential Records Act --- even with the copious rules, regulations and actual on screen messages he had to bypass in order to do it?
