    Note to the Salon Editors

    Dear Editors of Salon,

    I'd gladly increase my subscription fee $5 a year if you promise you use those funds to ensure Glenn's continued salary support, and provide him with a small research budget. I would be SHOCKED if my view point were anything other than a majority position among your subscribers.

    Having an online bake sale really is a sort of unseemly way for a serious news organization to support its most thoughtful analyst.

    I want to pay you guys to hire people like Glenn and make them happy, and not have him waste his time selling cookies online.
