You cast judgements like stones
How many times do I hav to ask??? Prove these staments or keep them to yourself. I have not cast judgemens on anyone here.
and use biblical passages as camoflage for the fascist agenda most fundamentalists swallow without question
I use biblical passages to backup my claims through the Word of God. Something you should do as well, and also back up your rhetoric about me and my politics. You've labled me a "right winger bushie" well prove it. I voted for Bush only once yet he was elected twice....hmmmm
If you think the Bush policies are pro life and pro family, you're living in a fool's paradise.
He could have done more...yes. I never said I was a Bushie nor do I give Bush my un dying support.
without a doubt, and you're one with them
Prove it or be quiet, I'm tired of the false accusations.
I seem to recall a passage in which the Lord warns us of those who practice their piety on streetcorners.
You mean this one? Why do you mention it? Please explain...
Matthew 6:5-8
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
You follow blindly, like a good German. Pity. Bliind guide, I think, is the term that best describes you.
Please, I can't ask any more nicely than to prove your accusations or keep them to yourself.
Get thee behind me.
Sorry, I'm on the narrow path...
BTW - It isn't a sin to lookup scripture, I recommend crosswalk.com, they have a nice set of Bible study tools. Also, I recommend a good KJV Study Bible....

Blind Guide Redux
A narrow path for a narrow mind. I'm sure you're one of those that thinks the world is 6,000 years old, too. And global warming is a hippie myth. You're so predictable it's pathetic. And I have several bibles and shelves full of commentary. I passage about public piety is you personified. You just can't see it. Self righteousness, pride, is the original sin. Take a bath.

Sheep Manifest
The reason you don't wholly endorse Bush (who was installed, not elected) is that he's not theocratic enough for you. You and yours want public schools to be fundamentalist madrassas, starting every day for every pupil with requied prayer. What a joke, like the "sanctity of marriage" act. This country cheapens and blasphemes holy matrimony, turns it into a business deal or a tax write off, not a sacrament. Congress, or the President, or any other public official has exactly zero business deciding "sanctity", which, since you're the font of all wisdom, you know means holiness. The cock's crowed about twenty times on your self righteous posts, Jimmy. time to find a new rooster.

Sorry
I feel bad now that I posted the quote from JimC the other day. I was on my way out for the weekend, and I should have known dropping that into the thread would turn it into a diatribe by the Xian Authoritarian. I was just so shocked by what he'd written that I thought people should know what kind of guy we're dealing with in JimC, though he's made it abundantly clear on his own.
JimC, you sound a lot like the Islamic extremists who are also convinced they speak for God. They don't want their children to live in a world with people who don't accept their beliefs either. You and the Taliban have more in common than you probably realize.

O Ye Of Little Faith
Was it not written in the Rig Veda:
http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/rigveda/rv04056.htm
HYMN LVI. Heaven and Earth.
1. MAY mighty Heaven and Earth, most meet for honour, be present here with light and gleaming splendours;
When, fixing them apart, vast, most extensive, the Steer roars loudly in far-reaching courses.
2 The Goddesses with Gods, holy with holy, the Two stand pouring out their rain, exhaustless:
Faithful and guileless, having Gods for children, leaders of sacrifice with shining splendours.
3 Sure in the worlds he was a skilful Craftsman, he who produced these Twain the Earth and Heaven.
Wise, with his power he brought both realms, together spacious and deep, wellfashioned, unsupported.
4 O Heaven and Earth, with one accord promoting, with high protection as of Queens, our welfare,
Far-reaching, universal, holy, guard us. May we, car-borne, through song be victors ever.
5 To both of you, O Heaven and Earth, we bring our lofty song of praise,
Pure Ones! to glorify you both.
6 Ye sanctify each other's form, by your own proper might ye rule,
And from of old observe the Law.
7 Furthering and fulfilling, ye, O Mighty, perfect Mitra's Law.
Ye sit around our sacrifice.

A good man can go to church, carry his bible, and know every verse and yet be lost as can be without having accepted Christ instead relies on doing good works to “earn” salvation but this leads to destruction....
This has got to be one of the stoopidest parts of the fundie rigamarole. You can be an axe-murdering pederast, but as long as you accept that Christ died for your sins instead of you (except he really didn't die, did he?, so what's the friggin' "sacrifice" happy Easter, yaknow...), you'll be given an aeternity in heaven. It's because we're all sinners, designed that way, yaknow, and we just can't help our occasional axe-murdering pederasty escapades. Wow, that's quite the deal.
... Don’t lump me into any prior experience with Christians you have had before, ...
Why not? (or more specifically, I'll lump you in with RW fundies I've run across). Because, you're just like all the stoopid fundies I've run across....
Cheers,
