  • RE: Jonathan Hoag

I am not your brother, I have a brother and he is nothing like you, you justify and defend mass slaughter and condemn love.

If you are a Christian, then you are my Brother and you and I are commanded to love one another, so you are my Brother. As far as the condoning mass slaughter and condemn love? Prove it, back up your accusation. I would like to hear the reasoning behind the charges you bring against me.

I do not wish to be your friend....

Again I must ask if you are a Christian, then if you believe me to not be a Christian, then you should seek to have me accept Christ and not turn me away as the Pharisees did. I pray for Osama Bin Laden to accept Christ, I prayed for Saddam, I prayed for Zarqawi, we must pray for everyone even if they are our worst enemies as Christ commanded us.

...I watched "good Christians" treat other human beings as contemptible inferiors simply because of the color of their skin. ... I was beaten, shunned, spit upon and called "nigger lover" by "good Christians" because I dared to treat black people as fellow human beings deserving of respect and friendship.

You epitomize what revolts me about soi disant "Christians", you take a lucidly clear scripture that commands you to treat all human beings as equals and twist it into something that is unrecognizable through "interpreting"...As did the "Christians" who used scripture to justify and excuse the making of other human beings property, to be bought, sold, raped, tortured and slaughtered, so do you use scripture to justify and excuse your own bigotry.

I must ask you again, are you a Christian? A Christian should have a special burden for those who claim Christ but are in error in their doctrines. If you believe me to be in error then show me via scripture as I have done how I am wrong. The scriptures I spoke about, that I have studied, not out of context but as the whole, I believe and I there are many that support my view, that what wrote is truth. You equate me to people who have clearly erred in their walk with God. Being racist, calling blacks as such as inferior was clearly wrong but like many, you fail to see that those people were in error for shunning the people and not using scripture to understand that it is the sin that we all are guilty of that should be shunned, not the person. So to do so against someone because of their skin color is of course incredibly offensive and I am repulsed by that. However, shunning the sin of homosexuality and not the homosexual is what I am talking about. I have shown you in scripture, verses that deal perfectly with homosexual acts as being sin; I noticed you didn’t bother to comment on those, why is that? I do not hate homosexuals, I hate sin. I could have well have substituted alcoholics for their love of drink or greedy businessmen for their love of money, or the man who cheats on his wife for his adultery. It is time to get over the guilt of sin so you can effectively preach against sin, for the Lord does love us all and died for us all, and for all sins, yet those who walk in sin are in danger of judgment and those who are saved who harbor sin in their strongholds are in danger of blessings being removed and a poor walk with God.

...At those shows I met many homosexuals who were also antique dealers...they never treated me with anything less than respect and civility. This was such a contrast to how I was treated by Christianists..

I don’t doubt that you found many homosexuals as good people. I in fact have homosexual friends but have ost touch with since moving away. Being good people doesn’t mean being without sin. A good man can go to church, carry his bible, and know every verse and yet be lost as can be without having accepted Christ instead relies on doing good works to “earn” salvation but this leads to destruction. Don’t lump me into any prior experience with Christians you have had before, you don’t know me and apparently don’t care to know me. That’s fine, but at least get your information straight. I do not hate homosexuals, I do not hate drunkards, or pornographers, I hate the sin that has enslaved them….

As for Lot, I don't give a tinker's damn what the standards of the time might have been...The angels could not have been harmed by the crowd

Obviously, you didn’t read what I showed you. First, Lot didn’t know they were angels as of yet. Their true selves weren’t revealed until they smote the men blind. Also, from 2 Peter 2, it explains how a righteous man could do something so apparently vile as offer up his daughters. It says that Lot having lived in amongst the wickedness of Sodom was vexed, he was confused about the morality of his decisions, a perfect example of American’s today. Living in sin and wickedness, we have become blind to it, even defending it. Go back and read 2 Peter 2 again very closely….
