LET'S KEEP THE FOCUS ON THE WAR IN IRAQ
I am concerned that the Democrats's glee about the Bush Administration's "botched" (explaining with lies in testimony before Congress) firings of eight U.S. Attorneys will deflect the attempt to fully investigate the run-up to the Iraq War, the outing of Valerie Plame, and the illegal activities taking place in the name of the War on Terror (wiretapping, extraordinary renditions, torture, etc. While there is no doubt that Gonzales or his underlings lied when they testified before Congress about a month ago, concerning the reasons for firing the attorneys, those lies pale in comparison to the lies that were fed the nation in the run-up to the Iraq War, crimes that are war crimes, in my opinion. Democrats, and responsible Republicans, MUST INVESTIGATE FULLY the run-up to the Iraq War, including the outing of CIA covert agent Valerie Plame, and the blatant illegal activities taking place in the War on Terror. To not investigate these activities is to tacitly condone them.
