  • The dying of the light

The outrageous statements of the right's loudest voices (Coulter, Hannity, Limbaugh, O'Reilly) are never questioned or truly criticized in the mainstream media, Back in the seventies, these hateful and moronic voices would be marginalized by a fourth estate that was independent and fiercely committed to challenging the government. Now, however, with every mainstream media outlet owned by the same corporations that brought you the war, this president and tax cuts for the rich, there is little hope that any truth other than a manufactured one will be heard.

The regulations of the FCC that kept us from this nightmare were abolished under Reagan. That's right - intelligent people foresaw this conglomeration of the press by powerful interests and drafted laws to stop it. But that was then. This is now. Rage, rage.
