can't wait to see Howie and Rush next week

explain how the Democrat Liberal Antiwar Left Loonies are responsible for the failure of the military to properly care for our wounded service personnel during GWB's and the Republican Congress' stewardship.

In shame for the way we've treated them,

Gordon

Gordon ...

Yep. I've lived my whole life in the Deep South. I'm also aware of what you're saying. In Conservatize Me, John Moe talks about how he lives in Seatle and was completely mystified at life in conservative world.

But I'm also aware of patterns that are warning signs of the future. In '06 the conservative movement campainged against a US city - San Francisco - as being antiAmerican. The RNC signed on David Barton to spread his christian Reconstructionist lies ... they don't know or care that Christian Reconstructionist would be our Taliban, Rove just knows that will help keep winning elections.

@ Gordon

You're dead-on about this always existing in America. If you look at Democracy in America, you'll notice that Toqueville, saw the potential for fascism, yet that concept did not exist, so he suggested that someone would have to name it.

Could one hypothesize an evolutionary psychology that explains how our species has persisted via simultaneous or alternating authoritarian and liberal tribal styles?

In a cynical mood I'd answer we've persisted because we hadn't invented nuclear weapons yet.

"Crazy"

"You can add one part pyscho-babble to your potion, or sprinkle in some parallels with former totalitarian regimes, but it's getting increasingly hard to hide that the active ingredient in this snake oil is hate."

You got me raj. I'm turning into a bigot because I think hate-mongers are hate-mongers. Do you even comprehend how insulting what you just wrote is? You may as well have called me crazy.

Why don't you just say you believe I'm mistaken and leave it at that. I'm not turning into a hate-monger because I think Ann Coulter is a hate-monger.
