They are trying to kill him?
He must be the enemy of Al Quesidilla...not a friend ...like Democratics whom are not targeted by the terrorists...
Wake up...you liberals are enabling, embolding, embossing, empowering the enemies of freedom...and emasculating our Leaders and Saviours, Prophet Bush and Cheney...
God damn you heathens.

More Information
"A senior administration official" is not much better that anonymous......How about "A senior administration official whose former chief aide is being tried for perjury and obstruction in order to protect aforementioned senior adminstration official."

He discussed at length the comments he made recently about Nancy Pelosi wanting to "validate Al Qaeda's strategy ).

And What Of Invading Iran?
It's quite clear that invading Iraq was a huge gift to al Qaeda. But--speaking of contempt for public opinion--what of the prospects of invading Iran? If invaind Iraq was a gift, invading Iran would be Santa's workshop.
And Sy Hersh's latest article argues that invading Iran is just part of the Bush/Cheney ongoing agenda--that they're involved in a wholesale restructuring of US policy aligning ourselves region-wide with Sunnis (Saudi Arabia and al Qaeda are both Sunni) against Shias (Iran and Iraq are both majority Shia), in a bid to shift power--by force of arms, obviously, in virtually the entire region.
This would reverse 70+ years of US policy in the Mideast, which has always placed stability (protecting both the flow of oil and the state of Israel) as one of its highest continuing goals.
There seems to be literally no end to their folly. It's not just boundless in the directions already taken--it's boundless in taking off in all sorts of other foolish directions.
Can war with China be far behind? After all PNAC sees China as the ultimate challenge to US hegemony.

Cheney is the Iraq war
Glenn...I encourage you to continue doing this with Cheney--at least weekly perhaps?
This man is a monster of the first order, and the press needs to wake up to his pathalogical rantings. More than any other person, he owns the Iraq war. It has his name written all over it. I feel the case for "high crimes and misdemeanors" has already been made, so why is he not out playing golf?
He has absolutely negative credibility--so much so that his utterances, in any other context, would seem hilarious....except that, given the power he obviously weilds, it is terrifying.
This man makes amoral look like pious. He has sacrificed his own daughter to the likes of Pat Robertson and Dobson/FOTF and then has the nerve to snarl when her name is mentioned. My gut tells me our Government will continue to decline until this man is held accountable for his willful assault on our Constitution. This, more than anything else, needs to happen before any of this can begin to heal.
His pay checks come from Halliburton. Unfortunately for all of us, they also own his soul.

Shield of words
It is coming..any day now a senior administration official is going to shave his head and check into rehab.
-
Civility
Since conversations around Left Blogistan yesterday made it clear that it is inappropriate and uncivil to suggest that the Vice President's passing, had it occured yesterday, would have been unlamentable and largely unlamented, I guess I have nothing to say.

The Devil is in the Details
Barnaby opined: 'His pay checks come from Halliburton. Unfortunately for all of us, they also own his soul.'
Oh, I think someone else owns his soul...

From the Day Late and a Dollar Short file
Off topic somewhat, but it would appear that Glenn's recent posts about kissy assed reporters may have had some results.

Oh, Mona, I still do.

Cheney, contemptuous? Fie, I say!
This is the man who told anyone who would listen back in 1972 that the Watergate scandal was nothing but a Democrat power grab. And he's never changed his mind about that despite the clear evidence of criminality.
There are damned few people in this country who think Richard Nixon would not have been impeached, convicted, and eventually imprisoned if he had resisted.
Mr. Cheney is one of those few.

What's taking so long??
Of all the "senior administration officials" one could name, the Vice-President has the longest and most grandiose string of false statements ever documented. So why in the hell is ANYBODY listening to a word he says?
-
ENOUGH
I am frustrated by all of the political obfuscation that is going on. Since the administration's and their allies' secret maneuverings have been exposed (REAL ID, renditions, NSA wiretapping, Guard control, among many others), it seems like they are doing whatever they can to muddy the waters, even inconsequentially and obviously, in order to delay and distract the press and the people from what they are still doing. None of the problems have gone away, but now we have to go through another Herculean task of trimming away the Hydran heads of these tactics to keep getting back to their malfeasances that they have committed. No wonder why many people are more concerned about what's happening with Anna Nicole's corpse. It is exhausting trying to keep track of everything this administration has done, is doing, and will do, and all of their efforts to keep those activities unknown.
Thank you, Glenn, for helping distill some of it down.

Re: Cheney-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named
Exactly what does this man have to do to get arrested?
And can you tell me why the reporters on the plane agreed to his ridiculous scam regarding "senior administration official?" They don't have to, you know. What's he going to do? Throw them out the hatch?
Come on.
The man is a danger to himself and the nation, he is constantly getting people hurt and killed, he's running around the world trying to whip up War Frenzy against... someone, anyone. He's flapping his gums incoherently. And if the Hersh piece -- which is barely comprehensible itself even after four or five readthrus -- is saying what I think it is, Cheney is right now engaging in treason most foul by sending money, arms, and supplies to the nation's jihadist/al Qaeda enemies to try to entice them into joining a US/Israeli attack on Iran.
What does he have to do to get arrested?
