    Playing devil's advocate

Glenn, I'm a big fan of your column, your fearlessnesss and your intellectual rigor. On this one, however, I'm not entirely with you.

In his own pathetic way, Jonah is trying to do the right thing. Of course, he thinks that an award-winning investigative journalist is morally suspect, and his only standard of "journalism" is Fox News. And his idea of bringing attention to a serious cause is to sic a blowhard like Geraldo on it. Yes, this is pathetic and sad.

However, I think he should be given a pass on this one. He's at least making a nod toward acknowleding a reality outside of the right-wing ideological fantasyland, the real world where BushCo's policies actually have a real cost to real people. Isn't this a good first step?
