EatingRaul Black basketball players laying professionally in israel are looked at as prize monkeys.
Right, that explains why Israel brought in the Ethiopian Beta Israel community, because Israel is so racist they just needed to bring in 100,000 black Africans.
Arabs, including Israeli born citizens are considered to be sub-human:
By a small minority of Israelis, I'm sure that's the case. It doesn't represent the majority by any means.
the k-12 grade schools are segregated and an Arab trying to get accepted to an israeli university has a slim chance of getting in.
That's because Arab schools are taught in Arabic, not Hebrew. Arabs can go to non Arabic schools, and some do. But most want to learn in their own language.
An Arab man dating a Jewish woman puts his life at risk.
His life is only at risk if he tries to convert, and then it's not at risk from Jews.
Another manifestation of how racist the Israeli society is can be found at the infamous West Bank check-points.
Racist, or paranoid? Checkpoints are like a person asking for gas money to get home because they are stranded. You want to help and be nice, but far too often, they simply want your money and are running a scam. After awhile, you harden to their pleas, and people who actually need a hand are punished because those who are scamming.
Suicide bombers have made it past checkpoints, pretending to need medical care and other acts of perfidy.
Even those who accept the security justification for the check=points, would be horrified at the sadistic and humiliating manner Palestinians are often treated when attempting to go through them.
Absolutely, the checkpoints should be better, and they certainly don't endear people who are subject to them.
That said, the TSA sucks and is humiliating as well, not to the same level, but the risk of actual violence is much lower as well.
The problem is the TSA, like Israeli's checkpoints, is that nobody wants to be the person who let the terrorist/bomber get past, so inane rules end up getting applied, often these rules are at odds with actual security even, but the fear of failure is the driving factor.
That's not much of a consolence to a student who ends up missing exams in the West Bank, but there are rational reasons other than out right racism.
