Is it OK to be liberal again, instead of progressive?

Come out of the closet, liberals. Stop using the fashionable euphemism "progressive" and relaunch the old, tarnished L-word.

    TO: zoltan newberry

Your questisons are indented. Responses are in boldface.

Think about it: Isn't there some valid reason why "knee jerk liberal" has become part of the lexicon?

Have you ever wondered why you people are properly called "ReTHUGlicans"? Have you looked at GW Bush or Dick Cheney's faces? These are War Criminals!

Are you still willing to think for yourself?

Have YOU ever thought for yourself? (I see no signs of any such thing in any of the letters you've written).

"Is our children learning?" (GW Bush) [Response: I certainly hope they "IS learning" to parse the sentence in a way that you and GW Bush might understand]

Is government the answer to all of our problems?

No. But certainly government has to learn how to facilitate the efforts of citizens to live happy lives - no government, left or right, has yet learned how to do this simple thing!

What about our failing urban public schools?

"Is our children learning?" (GW Bush)

Do liberal-progressive politicians have any realistic solution to continuing generations of illiterates and drop outs?

"Is our children learning?" (GW Bush)

What ever happened to the notion of accountability?

Whatever did, indeed, happen to "accountability"? Have you, zoltan newberry, ever thought of asking GW Bush, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld - and the other assorted war criminals of the outgoing administration - to account for their lies and their crimes?

So whatever happened to accountability, zoltan newberry?

    What about class warfare?

I do know that we human beings have to go to war against thieves, and War Criminals like GW Bush, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, John Ashcroft, Alberto Gonzalves, and other assorted scoundrels.

Is this really such a good idea?

It is indeed a very good idea to get the thieves, scoundrels, war criminals and such loathsome vermin out of the system

If the rule is "whatever it takes to win and keep power," can't that approach lead to the same horrors we have seen before when the ends justified the means?

Ask your heroes GW Bush, Dick Cheney and other assorted war criminals the answer to that question.

Now that you guys are in control, what can you do for all of us?

Why don't you work with human beings to put the war criminals in jail where they belong? And then, why don't you try and learn how to operate in a truly civil society? That might be of some value to all human beings.

    Are you thinking?

Have you EVER thought for yourself?

Are you taking unintended consequences into account?

Did GW Bush, Dick Cheney (or you for that matter) ever think of this?

Have you learned from the horrible failures of the past like welfare?

Have GW Bush, Dick Cheney (and those other assorted criminals) learned anything from the horrible failure of their criminality?

What's up, my dear Libral frems?

    What's up, you loathsome ReTHUGlican?

    What's up?

Let me tell you what's DOWN: GW Bush, Dick Cheney, and assorted war criminals, they're all DOWN, that's for sure! You too are DOWN, and that's a very good thing too!
