she was also in the White House for eight years in the 90s, and she probably did what any other intelligent, interested person would do, she soaked up as much as she could.

while Bill was having Lewinsky soak his cigar. Any intelligent woman would have kicked his ass to kingdom come. But Hillary wanted to be President so bad, she chose to stay married. Ha. He will be filing for divorce as soon as she is kicked out of the race. Fuck you too Stunty.

  • wow..where are all the Hilary supporters? we are only left with the senator dork

I guess everyone is licking wounds at this point and drinking heavily.

  • Re:No ranting necessary

If Obama had as long a career, then maybe, but he hasn't had as many chances to make mistakes as she had. Just because she's made mistakes, doesn't mean she doesn't regret them. You seem to hold all of her past votes as condemnation, and not mistakes. No forgiveness from you assholes, that's for sure.

  • Stentor

You can argue that "Hillary in the White House in the '90's" canard all you want, but the fact remains is that she wasn't in any elected political office then.

    Ranting doesn't change that fact.

Why does Hillary continue to support the illegal occupation of Iraq? Closet neoconservatism?

  • Re:Ad Hominem Attacks Don't Faze Me In The Slightest

Now you're blaming her for trying to save her marriage. How do you know what she's thinking. You must be some loveless, ball-busting bitch to have that attitude. Again, he made a mistake, he atoned for it, she forgave him, and they moved on. No forgiveness from you either.

  • Clinton's Qualifications

I asked this question a couple of times over at the boards at Slate today. No one tried to answer, so maybe someone here will take a crack at it: What is Clinton's experience? We seem to hear about it all the time, but what is it?

As far as I see it, there are several red flags when you look at Clinton's public life.

    1. Health Care reform in '93. This is self-explanatory. She set back this cause by close to 2 decades because of her my-way-or-the-highway style. Has she changed since then? Doesn't seem that way judging by the way her campaign behaves.

    2. Her Iraq vote. Sorry, but it was a terrible idea then and it was obvious. Almost half the Democratic senators voted against it. Why didn't she? That's pretty poor judgment in my book. Her recent needless saber rattling towards Iran suggests she hasn't learned a darn thing.

    3. From 2001-2006 she was one of the preeminent faces of the Democratic party. Why did we never hear her forcefully standing up to GWB and the Republicans? This country was in dire need of fierce opposition to the ruling party. She was MIA. She only started to raise any opposition to GWB after the '06 elections when it became politically safe and convenient to do so. This doesn't seem like good leadership to me.

Can someone please give me some reason why I should ignore these 3 facts and support Clinton over Obama? If all you have is the "experience" argument, then tell me what experience she has that would recommend her?

Please, if someone tells me I swear I'll stop asking this question, but until I hear an answer that doesn't include "She's Bill Clinton's wife" I'm not buying it.

    No ranting necessary

Then why do you continue to rant?

Still waiting for a reasonable rationale for Hillary's continued support of the illegal subjugation of Iraq. Perhaps there isn't one.

Ad Hominem Attacks Don't Faze Me In The Slightest

    Me either.

Apparently you lack any other strategy. How's that working out for you?

  • @Stentor

Ok, either you are a Republican shill or just incredibly historically ignorant. You might want to go back and read some history...but no you are too busy at this point.

  • What should Hillary want?

    V.P. -- too puny!

How about Supreme Court Justice and $$$$.

I say if Iran screws with us enough, then they deserve what they get. You're obviously too young to remember the way they treated us in the 70s under the Carter Administration. I was there for all 444 Days of the Iran Hostage Crisis, where were you? Running down your father's leg, no doubt.

Typical bitter old white woman response. You want a woman in the White House to bomb bomb bomb Iran just like you sat glued in front of your tv watching the bomb bomb bomb of Iraq that killed so many innocent civilians. Hillary is a murderer. She voted for the war that killed 4000 US soldiers. You want change? What do you know about the Iran hostage crisis but your hurt ego that a country threw out the influence of American imperialism. But that would be too hard for your crumpled mind to digest.

wow..where are all the Hilary supporters? we are only left with the senator dork

Maybe I should switch sides for a while and help them out.

This would put me at a serious disadvantage, so go easy on me.

  • This name calling is idiotic

First, none of us on this penny ante web site represents anyone but ourselves. I don't speak for Obama anymore than stenton speaks for Clinton. Further, if I piss you off and call you names, that isn't going to cause every single Clinton voter in the country to oppose Obama in solidarity with you.

I would support Clinton were she the nominee. I believe either Obama or Clinton would likely win in November.

Reality is, Clinton will not win the nomination. She took her shot and lost. Obama's people will sit down and talk with her people to figure out what she needs, but in the end to the vicotr goes the spoils. Doesn't matter if she or her supporters like the way the race went; that's politics.

And the professional members of her team understand that and will support Obama 100%. What's the alternative?

Do we allow bruised egos to let McCain win?

4 more years of anti-choice judges?

4 more years of endless war in Iraq?

4 more years of cowboy diplomacy?

4 more years of no health care?

    and on and on..

When Clinton supporters start hearing McCain attack the very issues that are their core principles; the petty bickering will end.

We always fight hardest and dirtiest within the family.

Some of the roughest play I've ever seen from my son's hockey team is when the team scrimmages against itself in practice.

But let the otherside attack our nominee and then we'll come together.
