  • @ AKA Smith

Sorry but if your born white in America, where most folks garbage disposals eat better than half the world, your BORN to priviledge. Everybody hits a rough patch in this life and some never recover. But to be born in this country white is to have a leg up from the get go.

However, I respect how hard you've had it and it shows true character to get up off the ground and soldier on.

  • @ Smith

"Privilege" in this context means ethnic privilege, or, more accurately, white privilege, and it is an entirely, entirely different beast from the kind of "privilege" that you are referring to, that has to do with personal affluence.

I suppose it was silly of me to assume that you would know that, though, because it doesn't seem like you're terribly educated about racial politics. It's obviously not a high priority for you.

It isn't my job to educate you, either. So I'm not going to bother trying. If you're curious about how this stuff works, there's a wealth of scholarship on the subject.

Moreover, 08YesWeCan, do you always go out of your way to make a fool of yourself in public forums?

From all the responses I read from your posts, it is quite clear that you keep making a fool of yourself in public forums. Lady, many people keep telling you that.

  • Typical racist KateTex

    @renegade

You are one nasty piece of work. You and the many thousands out there just like you in the blogosphere have put so many nails in Obama's political coffin, there'll be no opening that sucker ever again. I've said it before and I'll repeat it here: there's something terribly wrong with a candidate who attracts so many vicious supporters. I've never seen anything like this before and hopefully, we'll never see the likes of the Obama campaign again, because it has been - and continues to be - too downright ugly for words.

Perhaps you find yourself at a loss for words because the truth hurts. You are the one spreading hate, not me. I merely point out your hatred, and you call me vicious. Everyone here can see who the truly vicious one is.

I make jokes, here and there, but I'm pretty careful not to cross the line into hatred. I'm also a committed Democrat, and I will vote for whomever wins the nomination. You, on the other hand, are a right wing, lying, hateful, vicious troll, who won't even vote for Hillary, who you pretend to support. You think you're so clever with your lies, and your sanctimony, but really, as I said before, you are fooling no one (with the possible exception of yourself).

Barack will win the Democratic nomination. Barack will win the presidency. Go ahead and call me a naive Obamabot, as you are wont to do. Say my messiah won't save me. Go ahead and dig the hole deeper.

By its fruits, ye shall know the tree, ladies and gentlemen. As far as my reputation goes, I'll match my letters up against the racist, hateful, vicious KateTex any old day. I invite anyone here to browse our respective archives (go for it, AKA. I await your judgment)

What will you say when Barack wins, asshole? Because that is what is going to happen, as much as you may HATE the idea of a black man in the oval office, it's happening, and there is no amount of online hate that you can level at me that will change that fact.

how roads diverge. like our amazon queen, the arbiter of all, I wanted Edwards, and still think he would have been unbeatable in the general. I picked Obama because of the fact that I perceived in him a thread lost since 1968. It remains to be seen if he can remotely approach either of the seminal leaders we lost that spring and summer. Unlike Empress Smith, I found Clinton a failure on health care- a proven failure- and the author of the most artificially inflated resume I've ever seen- and I used to review resumes as part of one of my professions. 35 years of experience, most of it as first lady of something, corporate lawyer for an all white firm, a several year member of the Mall Wart board of directors. If I wanted experience, Dodd and Biden and Richardson each had many times the actual experience Clinton claims as her own. She's a shyster, and, now, a loser. She could have taken the high road, and might well have won. She organized the Penn express, which took a double digit lead all over the country- over twenty points most places at the start of this year- and name recognition no one can buy, and she found a way to lose. By being small. By being phony. By pandering. She lost fair and square. She can gain back some of her lost stature by running the rest of these primaries like an actual Democrat, not a McCain surrogate, and by conceding thereafter with grace, and with determination to see that we take the White House that is rightfully ours for at least the next eight years. PIty she diminished herself. Bleating sheep behind her like Smitty didn't help. But it's all about sexism, isn't it Smith and Wesson Oil?

  • Oh, and P.S., KateTex

Before you tag me as a hateful Obamabot, because I called you an asshole, I just want all legitimate Clinton supporters to know, I respect your choice. I don't respect right wing trolls like KateTex, that's all. I'm pretty sure you know exactly what I mean, if you've made it this far into the epic letter section.

  • Renegade Iconoclast

Read the archives of AKASmith and KateTex. You may not have to read the entire volume that these two spew. They are full of hate. Racist bile and superiority. They would put the KKK to shame.

  • 08yeswecan

I agree with you about KateTex, who is not even a democrat, but a right wing shill/troll.

AKA smith is merely a knee-jerk feminist. There's a big difference. Trust me.

  • 08, again, I really think you're wrong about AKA Smith

And I've been reading her posts for a long time. She has a tin ear when it comes to race; race is something she doesn't "get" in a substantial way. She's one of those earnest white people who honestly believe themselves to be "colorblind". But she's not hateful. She's just made other things a priority, and it shows when she does try to address race (and those of us who are more up on those issues wince -- that "black churches would ostracize me!" comment, gee whiz. Ouch).

Lumping her in with KateTex, who is a McCain troll and nothing but a McCain troll, is unfair.
