Agitating the Huckabee supporters against McInsane
might be working.
28% of the voters in the Republican primary voted against McInsane Tuesday.

actually republicans?, no!
I was prevuing all of the McCain dirt because most of the people who say they're Hillary supporters here are actually Republicans
I'm not entirely sure about that, except maybe for cynthera45 who is openly a McCain supporter, and of course, ElephantMan who comes by his label of Republican honestly. I wonder if he considers himself an old school goldwater kind of conversative? But I digress.
Like I was asking MCE007 what does it mean to be a liberal, what does it mean to be a Republican (or conservative)? These terms are now used as slurs and their meaning has greatly decayed. Not to mention that the Democrats and the Republicans aren't what they used to be either.
I think a lot of people here really, really, really want Hillary, and that is influencing the dialogue. They are left saying a bunch of crazy crap because they don't want Hillary to lose. And a few, I'm convinced, are equally afraid that Obama will win.

x, omg.
You troll Freep? My hat is off to you; that takes serious commitment. Just reading those boards for five minutes makes me need a shower badly.
-
Uncle Fester don't be so sure
I'm not saying all are trolling, but some definately are.
One of the tells is faint praise or defense of your own candidate but a lot of tearing down the opponent.
I'm always careful to praise Huckabee and use Christian right dog whistles.

Show and tells
One of the tells is faint praise or defense of your own candidate but a lot of tearing down the opponent.
I wouldn't disagree with that. But most Hillary supporters here will tell you why they like Hillary. Shawn's a good exception to that rule and seems to be regarded as a troll by most. Sorry Shawn, baby!
It looks like MCE007 has run away and I will never find out why FDR, Truman, JFK, and LBJ weren't liberals.
'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone,' it means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less.'
'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'
'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master - that's all.' -
Look at it another way -- what does she lose by delay
Right now Hillary has currency to bargain with -- she can pull out. In a few short weeks she is effectively out anyway. So anything she wants to get, she needs to look for now, especially if Obama would have good reasons not to give them later.
Assistance on her campaign debt -- why would Obama do that ... he will have an expensive campaign in November, and she is out of money.
Senate majority leader -- oh dear. First, she seems increasingly unloved by her fellow Senators, Second, Obama could have a real problem with a Senate majority leader with an eye on his job.
Veto power over a VP candidate -- what so she can use it to block a strong VP candidate, which most likely means blocking a woman?
I think it may be the law of diminishing returns here - maybe Obama should refuse to deal and let Hillary fade into an end.

MCE007
most of us aren't listening or caring what he or Obama says...
Or looking at the record, or honestly considering any evidence at all, it would seem. Instead you resort to knee-jerk personal disparagement.
That's not the characteristic of an open-minded liberal. That's the mark of a close-minded conservative True Believer. We expect Bushites to put their fingers in their ears and shout "I can't hear you!"
And now we see you do it. At least five other Hillary supporters have said much the same thing on these boards. All very telling.
It's no wonder you can't be persuaded by facts or reason. It's no wonder you have no facts or reason to persuade others to your side. Facts and reason are anathema to you. You said it yourself.
Thanks for the confession.

Geez People!
I can't believe I actually read all of these responses, but I did. To everyone who's been slinging mud back and forth - stop already, you're not changing anyone's position and you just come out looking like a bunch of kids.
Bottom line is that you can't call yourself a Democrat if you are not prepared to support whomever is the candidate, whether it's Clinton or Obama. If you say that you'll vote for McCain or stay out of the race if Obama is the candidate, you aren't a Democrat. The same goes for Obama supporters, although it seems much less likely that an Obama supporter would vote for McCain. We need solidarity this time if we're going to avoid another four years of Bush, because that's exactly what McCain is promising. The idea of that makes me ill, frankly.
And before you make assumptions about me, I'm a white woman in my 40s who is middle class but with a master's degree who lives in Chicago, so I guess I fall into both Obama and Clinton's demographic. I actually voted for Clinton in the Illinois primary, but will be more than happy to vote for Obama in the general election if he's the candidate, which it appears will be the case.
For what it's worth, I have no doubt that Conley is right - whomever does the conceding will line up behind the candidate because it's in his or her best interest, and in the party's best interest, to do so. I suggest you all do the same.

MacK..
Look at it another way -- what does she lose by delay
Your answer to your own question here shows that she loses quite a lot.
I think it may be the law of diminishing returns here - maybe Obama should refuse to deal and let Hillary fade into an end.
It would seem so. Obama has something to gain here by taking the high road and not letting himself get sucked into Hillary's pissing contest.
Now try your question the other way: What does she gain by delay?
The Democratic party leadership will be asking for her game plan today. They're rightly concerned that prolonging her candidacy and engaging in a smear campaign may be damaging to the Democratic party.
Now we have a third question: Does she care? Only Mrs. Clinton can answer that.
