PLEASE everyone just ignore every ShawnWM post
He obviously has no grasp on reality or is a Republican shill. Use your time for other pursuits and maybe he will go away...logic or thought doesn't phase him.

WRONG...as Obamabots try to take over one more website like a termite infestation, there are some of us who wish to fumegate the comment page...

Give it up, doll. Have you not heard that Clinton is defeated? Now will you go away? Gosh. You sound so vapid.
-
So FDR and LBJ not liberal?
it also is a fact that America has never elected a man as liberal as Obama...I challenge any Obamabot to name me won true liberal who has been President in 80 years...and no, FDR was not a liberal, so don't try it...
So what does the word Liberal mean to you? What policies of Obama qualify him as liberal?
FDR passed social security, WPA and other new deal programs. LBJ passed great society programs. Were they liberal programs or not?

Whatever
Kate - I've never attacked you or called you names. I've never said I wouldn't support Mrs. Clinton. I've tried to pay every Clinton supporter respect. From here on, kiss my ass. If you think by me telling you to kiss my ass on this message board somehow every Clinton supporter will bolt the party in solidarity with you you're a bit deluded.
To the other guy - your history is a bit impaired. Bill Clinton never won a majority of the white vote. Not in 92 not in 96. He won, barely, with near 90% of the black vote and with youth.
In fact Clinton got about the same percentage of the white vote in 92 that Carter got in 80. 38% and 36% respectively.
But Carter had less black support and less support from those under 40 than Clinton. Dukakis also lost the under 40 too. He also lost California and every other western state. He also lost Illinois.

Obama and November

Hillary's math is just fine and she knows that Obama is a very iffy candidate for the Democrats in November...
Your post spelled out exactly why Obama cannot win in lucid, clear terms, something his backers refuse out of some odd psychological block to understand. The media also seems to buy the Obama camp spin hook, line and sinker...once again, as they try to sway the election their way, truth be told they, and Obama's backers, will face a very surprising upending of their assumptions come fall. But sesanders, you spelled out why succinctly, and heaven forfend Obama's fans will pay you any mind...but a healthy dose of I told you so will be doled out by all of us who knew better than them...which really isn't very hard.

Maybe I was wrong
"Kiss my ass" "You sound so vapid"
Maybe the memo was limited to, "Only make nice in the following circumstances..."

Dignity?
Let her finish herself off, she's been doing a terrific job at it, then let her take responsibility. Let her, and her acolytes, show us what level of dignity they can muster.
-- Riversofexile
How very odd for anyone among the Obamabots to lecture about mustering dignity...with name calling being a de rigeur exercise by your lot, not to mention slanderous sexism and disinformation campaigns that would put the old KGB to shame, it is an exercise in hypocrisy to claim anyone else needs to show dignity...
Obama has some very strange bedfellows...crazy ex-pastors, homophobic ex-gay gospel singers, corrupt Chicago politicos, and his wild-eyed supporters, who, put together, are certain doom for his candidacy in November.

Not Maybe KateTex
Always wrong.

"some odd psychological block" called empirical data
Your [sesanders] post spelled out exactly why Obama cannot win in lucid, clear terms, something his backers refuse out of some odd psychological block to understand.
These arguments might carry additional weight if they referenced any outside sources. Like a recent gallup poll showing Obama being McCain among Jewish dems 61%-32%. And McCain has Pastor Hagee to really antagonize the Catholics. I know Pat Buchanan is deeply pissed on this subject. Finally there seems to be quite a protest vote against McCain in the republican primaries. Why are all those people still voting for Huckabee, Romney, and Paul? He still faces the challenge of fully mobilizing his base.
PRINCETON, NJ -- Barack Obama is faring better than might be expected among Jewish voters, beating John McCain in Gallup Poll Daily general-election matchups and trailing Hillary Clinton only slightly in Jewish Democrats' preferences for the Democratic nomination.

@ MCE007
McCain doesn't have a chance in hell in November.
Thousands of Republicans voted against him on Tuesday and he isn't even opposed anymore.
In every poll I've seen, age is more of a concern than race.
And McCain's connection to Bush is much more of a concern to voters than the Wright faux issue.
If there's a single Republcan victory in the Senate I'd be surprised.
No doubt thanks to Bush-McCain, Democrats will have veto proof majorities in both houses. Funny thing is, with President Obama they won't need it.

@ katetex
Why should I make nice to Republicans?

Yapping
Obama has fulfilled every qualification to be the nominee and you can keep yapping about bs...but believe it or not there have to be some rules. You might want to catch the Daily Show bit about Hilary claiming that the super delegates are the to be taken most seriously-but then that was when she was in a different situation.
-- sigmund5
One should be VERRRY careful about accusing anyone of yapping when you are doing precisely that...
Just how has he fulfilled qualifications of being nominee? Of which states has he been the winners of? Are they ones which count at all??? So far, only two of the states he has won have any semblance of weight in the general: North Carolina and Illinois...the rest he won in, as I heard someone so plainly put it on TV the other day, don't matter. Hillary won EVERY STATE THAT WILL MATTER in November...
I would say if persuading superdelegates with cash favors (Claire Haskill got a 10K bribe) is how he is qualified, well then you have a strange set of standards...
Obama has managed to try to keep Michigan and Florida out of the equation, knowing full well he did everything possible to sabotage their inclusion in Hillary's totals...just exactly how this makes him qualified for the nomination, I have no clue.
I wouldn't rely on Jon Stewart for any serious arguments about political discussions...the superdelegates were designed precisely to prevent potential candidates who could be ticking time bombs, like Obama is, since the Rezco trial will most assuredly be a game ending drama for him, as seems to be the case from daily testimony reported by Chicago papers that the rest of the media and his shills refuse to acknowledge. Hillary couldn't have been smarter than to bring up the slum lord charge against him, for that one will be part and parcel of the much larger issue of corruption which will unravel his amateur campaign before long.
