The suggestion he be the veep is cringe-inducing. Yeah he's a military guy, but so what? Let's get off this idea a Dem needs a military presense. And while he may be nominally a Democrat, he's probably more conservative than Clinton.
Obama's going to bring minds onto his staff that think farther outside the beltway political boxes than perhaps any new administration ever, so he's going to need a proven progressive VP who can effectively play on that sort of team.
