    The wife and I talked about this last night. What exactly might induce HRC to finally take her leave? I think it's very simple, and the wife (an Obie supporter) agrees: allow Mr.; Harry Reid to fall on his sword for the good of the party and give up the Senate Majority Leader office to Hillary.

    This will also prove even more compelling than a mere VP spot, since the Ds stand to gain at least 4-5 more seats in the Senate and possibly 12-15 in the House. She will be able to wield real power, hell - even hold up some of Obie's pet bills in committee if she doesn't life them. Quid pro quo.

    To me it is the best negotiation deal going, along with Obie doing debt service for her - since he does have such deep pockets compliments of all the Wall Streeters.
