What really annoys me
I can see the point of preserving the environment but I really get annoyed by environmentalists. They are expecting you to make changes in your lifestyle which in all probability will not show much results in your lifetime. And yet, they do not own up to that, instead they tell you it is fun, it is easy and once that doesn't work they start with the guilt, telling you what a slug you are for not recycling, how you are commiting virtual genocide on children when you use plastic, how human beings are just pests to the "natural" world. I think the current crop of environmentalists need to change their tune and can honestly tell people, it's not fun, it's not easy, but some day there will be dire consequences if we don't do something. It's not about hiking in the woods or sunsets over the lake, it's about having air to breath, water to drink and food to eat.
