Reality-based Liberal
No, what i'm saying is the "Emperor has no clothes"...The so called "agent of change" Barack Obama has so many friggen skeletons that get brushed away by like dandruff from his flock and the media (at least they used to by the media)...I would assume there's someone that attends Trinity secretly negotiating a high priced fee for certain footage of a certain someone hootin and holerin at old Uncle Wrights "benign Jesus lovey dovey" sermons...Make no doubt about it, today was a pre-emptive strike.
P.S. I would also guess Oprah will do something similar once the same footage of her attending a Trinity American hatefest pops up.

Tax Fraud
It is illegal for a 501C3 non-for-profit organization, such as the Trinity Christ Church of Chicago to endorse a political candidate. The church saves millions of dollars in taxes each year by agreeing to these guidlines. By allowing Rev. Wright to advocate for a candidate on Church premises without allowing equal time to the opponent means tax-payers are being forced to support the Obama campaign to the tune of millions of dollars. This is tax fraud. A Harvard grad should know as much. Someone on his campaign staff should know as much. The church should lose their tax exempt status and start paying income tax. The public should demand no less. You can't just look the other way when it benefits your candidate, next time you might be on the other side. Either you support the separation of church and state or you don't. Period. Obama does not support gay marriage "because he is a Christian" quoth the Chicago Tribune. Do we want another president who makes public policy based on an invisible imaginary friend who tells him things in his head?

@ odog11
Look, either Clinton is responsible for everyone she's interacted with and so is Obama, or neither is. You pick your standards. If you choose different standards, then I know all I need to know about you.

No, I'll use the Glenn Greenwald defense. "As long as there's racists on both sides everything evens out"...

@ odog11
So to be clear, you believe that Obama and Clinton should be judged by different standards -- and that you belive Glenn Greenwald will back you up.

Details on the Ayers
The bomb Ayers and Dohrn were working on was a giant shrapnel bomb (Possibly as much as 50 lbs of Amron encased in nails and bolts) They were going to take it uptown and set it off in the main hall of the Columbia Library between periods. How many people would have been killed and how many more permanently maimed or blinded? This doesn't fit any definition of revolution. It's nothing but sadism driven by upper-mddle class angst. The closest comparison would be pathetic trenchcoat mafia bombers from Colombine.

Obama's black nationalist and white lefty advisers
Another pro-Obama article, but at least we now know something more about Obama's past and his associates. Ayers and Dohrn are not just liberals. They are radicals, as apparently is the Rev. Wright. Same was true of Alinsky, who was not mention in the article. One of the radicals even visited Trotsky's home in Mexico. The only thing good about Trotsky is the hammer that killed him. Stalin wasn't all bad, he exterminated a lot of original bolsheviks.
I predict the Republicans will go easy on Obama, and if the past is any indication of the future, so will the mainstream media. So far, everyone who has told the truth has subsequently apologized and removed themselves from public view. Its like commie re-education camps, but then that is what The Cultural Revolution and political correctness of Chairman Mao was/is all about.
And if Obama is not exposed, and the exposure isn't accepted, he will be the next President.
One thing is pretty sure, though. If Obama doesn't make it this time, he never will be President. The paint on the image just won't last.

Obama May Have Revealed Another Dark Side of his Candidacy in Today's Speech
What I heard from Obama in his speech today reminded me of the political science concept of "corporatism"--the governing style in many foreign countries where one powerful leader mediates between functional (type of employment) groups who have little or no contact with one another. Just substitute funtional with racial, and then elect Senator Obama President, and such a conception of things will actually serve, in my opinion, to increase racial tensions in America, if only through the power of implication (and the history of the past 70 years has proven that the unstated assumptions behind key political ideas constitute the most dangerous force in human history). Obama's story about his grandmother--in which he essentially said, "See, I know racist white people too!"--suggested that all whites and blacks in this country hate one another, but I think that isn't true. Race relations here are obviously imperfect, but a President Obama would make them worse.

@ kimbah
Sorry -- didn't mean to mischaracterize your comments. I think we're too distant in world views. I love this nation, but I am ashamed by its behavior. I think you can be outraged by your own history and still love your nation -- like a good friend who drinks too much. I guess we just have to agree to disagree.

Racial Perspectives
We all have our perspectives. Mine is influenced by more than 20 years as one half of an interracial couple. I'm Anglo, and my wife is Afro, which means I have experiences most Anglos don't.
For instance, I get to hear my wife tell me how the police followed her home from the grocery store, or they stopped her for driving while black just a bit too close to the Stanford Law School.
When we're out together, some very odd things happen -- things that no white couple or black couple will ever experience.
There's much we don't agree on. Affirmative action is a good example.
And there's much we do agree on. Barack Obama's speech this morning is a fine example.
Before that speech, I thought the Jeremiah Wright controversy meant the end to Obama's prospects. Now I feel as if Clinton's prospects are over. My wife agrees.

How Many More?
Can this be the only crazy uncle? Apparently there wasn't anything crazy about him for 20+ years until he was exposed.
