Latinos against Obama
Some people just doesn't listen or don't think. I am going to be honest about what I think the reason Latinos won't support Obama. First off let me correct myself. I don't think Latinos don't like Barack, I think MEXICANS don't like Barack. I think Mexicans feel like they are in a competition with blacks, and therefore they don't want there to be a black President before there is a Mexican-American President. I can remember seeing an interview a couple of months ago when all the Mexicans were saying they wanted Bill Richardson as President because he is of Mexican descent. I also remember seeing an interview several months ago before the Democratic Primary began with several black voters in which the vast majority were backing Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama because they really didn't know much about Barack. Once black people (and white people) got to know Obama, they realized they liked his ideas, plans and what he stood for. So I think all the people that are saying blacks are voting for Barack because he is black need to shut up. Blacks were solidly in Hillary's column before they go to know Barack, therefore, they actually looked at his ideas and decided they liked his ideas better. It seems like the only group that is using race as a reason to vote or not vote for Barack are Mexicans. Mexicans dislike and jealousy of blacks is driving many Mexicans to vote for Hillary.
I think one of the earlier posters on this board hit the nail on the head regarding the answers Hillary and Barack gave to the question from the African-American during the debate regarding the illegal immigrants taking jobs from blacks. You should also look at Barack's and Hillary's positions on driver's licenses for illegals. Hillary is trying to suck up to conservatives and to lower income people that are trying to scapegoat immigrants for their lack of opportunity. Barack gave any honest answer, which is that unemployment has been a serious issue with black inner city communities long before the latest waves of immigrants came to the U.S. Hillary (and I believe Chris Dodd) were the only Democratic candidate that said she is against driver's licenses for illegals. All the other Democratic candidates, including Barack, said that it is better to give the illegals driver's licenses so we can control who is on the road. Then you have the major labor unions and the leading Spanish language newspaper saying they support Barack based on his positions. And what do the Mexicans do? They complain that the union picked Barack and they don't listen to the leading Spanish language newspaper who are being honest about who they think would be best for the Latino community. Mexicans seem like they are willing to vote against their best interest just to try to stop a black man from getting into office.
Now, I know you are probably wondering why I am singling out Mexicans from the other Latino communities. I am doing this because the media is being very intellectually lazy regarding black-"Latino" relations. Not all Latinos have problems with blacks. Puerto Ricans and Blacks usually get along very well. From my own personal experience, Mexicans have a serious issue with anyone that has black blood. As a matter of fact, I have heard negative comments against Puerto Ricans from Mexicans, because most Puerto Ricans have a significant amount of black ancestry. Remember all the complaining from Mexicans when Jennifer Lopez was picked to portray Selena? All I have to say is this: I think Barack can win without the Mexican vote because the only primary left that has a significant Mexican vote is Texas. I think Barack will probably win everywhere else. And once Barack is President, I don't want to hear all the whining from Mexicans that Barack has to hire Mexicans into his administration.

sandrasoler...
You are exactly right! I have been in the real estate business for 10 years and had to watch my profession deteriorate before my eyes! It used to be a respected and prestigious profession and I have worked very hard for the experience and educated myself all of the time. I have worked my way up and the second I finally started getting somewhere, it was out of control! I saw nothing but unscrupulous real estate agents and loan officers acting like scam artist that came out of the wood work. This one broker I attempted to work for told me "If you think you are above it all, then you will never make it this business!" So I quit! I refused to go along with the obviousness selling of over valued homes with over valued loans that buyers could never afford normally! Then all the ones with equity cashed out with equity loans that were over valued and now they all owe more than the house is worth! It is such a mess! It makes me sick! But I am glad the bubble finally burst because it had to happen! It was out of control! Still is! People have this "mind set" of entitlement and think they deserve it all!
It just scares me because these bad lenders bundled these sub-prime loans selling them on the Global Stock Market and now has left almost the whole world holding the bag! I find it coincidental that when this was encouraged...Paul Wolfowitz was the Head of The World Bank and Henry Paulson the Secretary of Treasury! If anyone knows about their history, you would know what I am talking about! I also find it coincidental that George Bush gloated at how American home ownership is at an "all time high" when he was addressing the Nation a few years ago. Alan Greenspan who kept lowering the rate and was also in office right up until the bubble went POP! It is modern organized crime in my opinion!

Hillary's resume', Obama's greatest strength.
Hillary's resume', Obama's greatest strength: reviewing Hillary's methodical playing of the "Race card", and "The Perpetual Victim" against Obama; and, her recent commentary on Iraq; Pakistan; Energy Policy; the need for her to control the 14 Trillion $ American Economy from her White House Politburo (this from a woman who hasn't managed so much as a corner vegetable stand, or for that matter her own marriage; but, of course you could count Whitewater, and her tenure as "Madam" for Bill's White House Brothel); her Marxist statement in San Francisco: "We're going to have to take more from you, and give it to others for the common good."; Illegal Immigration; Taxes; Infanticide; Massive new Government spending; Multi million $ Senate earmarks for supporters of Hillary's Presidential campaign; Garnishing of your wages to fund her coveted Socialized medicine program; and, the Clinton's history of emasculating the military, verifies that this grievously flawed woman would be the female version of the Jimmy Carter debacle that gave us the Ayatollah Khomeini who ushered in rampant Islamic radicalism; block-long lines at our gasoline stations; a severely hollow military; and, a record Misery Index. Only much worse. Considering all of her recent gaffes, e.g. "I voted FOR IT (referring to the Bankruptcy Bill); but, I was glad to see that it didn't pass.", one has to wonder if excessive use of Botox has affected her mental stability. It's no wonder that her campaign staff is shielding her from reporter and audience unscripted questions. The prospect of Madam Hillary as President; in a word: TERRIFYING. Greg Neubeck
