Obama will continue the movement we began in the 60s--Hillary hasn't & won't
Note to Racje1:
I'm a Caucasian woman who was involved in the civil rights & anti-war movement in 60s. If we want to finally see progress to that movement we loved so much, please vote for Obama. Neither Hillary nor Bill have ever reignited that movement and they will be incapable or unable to in the future. They have always been too concerned about themselves & distracted by scandals of their own making. Teddy, Caroline, and many others have it right: A Barack Obama comes along once in a lifetime. I haven't been interested in politics since I worked for Eugene McCarthy in 1968--now I have hope again. Everyone should do everything possible to get the vote out for Barack Obama tomorrow. It may be our last chance to unite & uplift this divided country.

Three Reasons to Choose Obama
The best reasons to choose Obama involve who is he ISN'T. Namely, he isn't Hillary Clinton.
1) For the past 16 years the president has been a painfully divisive figure in American politics. Conservative Republicans despise ... repeat DESPISE Hillary Clinton with a visceral passion matched only by the hatred liberal Democrats feel for George W. Bush. If Hillary gets elected we're in for more of the same depressing vitriol in national politics that we've suffered for four terms. The same ISN'T true for Obama. Conservatives don't like him, but they don't hate him either.
2) If you're a Democrat, or if you want the Iraq war to end anytime soon, you would prefer either Hillary or Obama to John McCain. In November, the aforementioned enemies of Hillary will turn out to vote against her--not FOR McCain, mind you, but AGAINST Hillary. The same is not true for Obama. In a fight between Obama and McCain, a lot of conservatives probably will stay home because they don't really like either of them. And Independents will choose Obama over McCain, because they're sick of the war. Obama would beat McCain handily, but Hillary ... maybe not.
3) We've had a Clinton or a Bush on the presidential ticket since 1980. Enough is enough. Let's move on.

Hillary and History
I am amazed at the hostility of the Hillary Clinton crowd at those of us voting for Obama. It also amazes me that some of you just can't fathom how a black man might be as much an inspiration to generations of blacks and other minorities as much, if not more so, than Clinton to women. White women are not an endangered demographic being imprisoned at astronomical rates, or dropping out of high school in record numbers. Obama could be someone many in the black community could look to as inspiration to what they could aspire to, instead of the steady stream of rappers and sports stars. Even Oprah is limited by her status as an entertainer. Obama is college educated, professionally successful, and running for the highest office in the nation. A black president could be just as inspiring to blacks as a Hillary would be to the many women and girls out there.
It is the result of SOME in the white democratic establishment demanding that we not abandon Hillary to a man (let alone a black man), and that we somehow OWE it to her to support her. That seems to be one of the reoccurring themes of Hillary Clinton supporters. I know why I'm voting for Obama, and I don't need to justify my reasons for anyone. Don't condescend to me that I really don't know what I'm doing, or that I'm a fool for believing in ideas. We need someone who can inspire on a national level, and I'm willing to give Obama the chance at following up his words and ideas with action. Hillary has not inspired me (though I will vote for her in the election) and I just don't believe that she is right person for this time and place. I'm not going to say "maybe next time", because that's what Obama is being told, and I simply believe it is his time and not HRC. I would love to see a female president one day, but that does not mean that has to be HRC. We don't owe her anything.

Hoisted on your own petard
This is why I am not a Democrat:
After years - no, decades - of promoting identity politics, the Democrats find themselves having to confront the very divisiveness they've fanned into flames.
Hilarious! This should be required reading for every Republican. "Why Liberals Are Full of Shit" would make a nice title.

Why You SHOULD vote for Hillary and be PROUD of it!
Fear: A vote for Hillary is a vote for McCain--
TRUTH: THere are more female registered voters in the US than men. If the Obama myth is true that there's a revival of "whatcanIdo", then get to work damn it, and make sure your sisters vote the right way!
Lie: Obama is the inheriter of the JFK legacy:
TRUTH: You can keep the JFK legacy. Easily forgotten is the fact that even Dem's were frustrated and disillusioned by JFK's ineptitude and inability to work w/Congress & PHILANDERING!!!!, the church and more.
LBJ got the most done that was progressive. Why? HE COULD WORK WITH CONGRESS. Hillary is HIGHLY respected in Congress the source of the gridlock. She will take no prisoners. Don't you want to see Pelosi & Clinton at work???!!!! IF the JFK speech worked, where was the post assassination ground swell? Didn't happen.
Lie: Obama is a uniter.
TRUTH: Obama is playing the race card by calling himself "black". He hasn't got the courage to say I'm both and I'll stay above it. He uses his race for convenience. His "health care plan" [WHO HAS 10K lying around for an MSA? I dont't] is structured for minorities and lower economic strata--no relief for the 'middle' class. Obama pulled the 1st race card punch. AND what about RESCO??? Didn't return the money until the courts revoked Resco's bail and arrested him!
Why would ANYone want Ted Kennedy's bragging rights??? Thrown out of Harvard for lying & cheating; more philandering/drinking/Chappaquiddick and got off!!!! Some brag. ROBERT Kennedy--the brains--and RFK, Jr. another story.
Lie: Obama "I'll get the independent vote"
TRUTH: Bloomberg will jump in the race in a nanonheartbeat. And, I for 1, will vote Mayor Mike, even McCain before I repeat for the THIRD TIME vote for popularity and preach [JFK,BUSH] and worry about plan later. Unuh.
Solutions will require tenacity, toughness and a brain that can make decisions, that will listen to input but has the capacity due to experience and ability to make the decision HERSELF. Obama isn't even close to her league. You want him calling Oprah on foreign policy? I don't think so. 'cause right now that's what he's doing every day!
REAL CHANGE is a woman in the White House. It's OBama who represents sameold/sameold.
Vote with courage! Vote for Hillary
