  • Race and Class

Why don't know race and class would be mutually exclusive in considering inequality. If poor blacks are responsible for their own plight how do you explain that according to recent studies the gap between black and white families has grown in recent years. In 1974 the typical black family made only 63 percent of the income of a typical white family. in 2004 the typical black family made only 58 percent of the income of a typical white family.
