We need a little nastiness.
Great article, and great reasons to vote for him. Unfortunately, he comes off as a friendly, really great teacher, but he doesn't have a strong, manic leadership vibe. And that's the one thing Dems and Reps have in common: We all want a bulwark up there. Or if you prefer accuracy, we want the image of bulwark up there. We don't want a smart, rational leprechaun. We want someone who radiates some crazy, bullheaded strength. (And I hadn't even heard about the other-worldly stuff; he'd have done well to keep it to himself.)
Frankly, I wish Obama would stop smiling and get a crazy glint of conviction in his eye. His friendliness is going to do him in, too.
