The Iraq war is lost
Bush and his band of backers won't admit that -- but their strategy is already defined by the specter of American defeat.

  • The Surge

    The surge is an admission that 4 years into combat more troops are needed just to restore some sense of order. You are admitting that only a massive military presence will maintain order in Iraq. This is defeat.

    All the surge supports are living in denial about why the surge was necessary. Sorry "Hornet Driver" but needing a huge military presence to control a population is NOT creating a stable democracy. Take a deep breath and an honest look, either you hold Iraq under your thumb or you lose control. Even if the surge is successful it is only successful at keeping a population at bay using military force. In no way is this creating a more stable Middle East.

    I love America, but this a disaster.
